Hello Forever (Hello Goodbye #2)

by Sarina BowenNealy Wagner (Psuedonym)
A SINGLE BASKETBALL GAME CHANGES EVERYTHING…

When they were only teenagers, Axel and Caxton were caught making out in the woods at church camp. And afterward, Cax had disappeared from all the youth group activities.

Six years later, Axel is astonished to spot his first love’s face in the crowd of a college basketball game he’s watching on TV—at a school which has just offered him a job. It’s a thousand miles away, in a tiny rural town. But suddenly, he can’t wait to get there.

Cax can’t believe his eyes when Axel appears in the same Massachusetts town where he now lives. And he’s still just as drawn to Axel as ever. But he can’t let himself go there again, because loving Axel will mean giving up everything else he holds dear.

Both men have so much to lose. But as far as their love is concerned, it’s Hello Forever.

Hello Forever is a stand-alone novel with no cliffhangers. Readers of Goodbye Paradise will get to check in on Caleb and Josh and their clan.

Axel and Cax knew each other since they were kids. They met at a church retreat when they were in third grade. They became fast friends and formed this bond with each other. They looked forward to seeing each other every year at that retreat. But one year things started to change between them. They were both seeing each other in a different light. They risked a couple of stolen moments. And got caught. Axel never saw Cax again.

Six and a half years go by and just like that. Out of the blue… Cax is back in Axel’s life.
Not much has changed with Cax. Cax is still in the closet and just trying not to rock the boat with his dad. Just buying time until he could move on with his brothers.
Axel never went back in the closet once he got caught at the retreat with Cax. He moved on. But never forgot about Cax… his first love.

This book started off so good. I loved how Axel found Cax. He put forth the effort and got things going to where he could talk and be with Cax again. It was hard in the beginning because Cax had a lot on his plate with his whole family situation. His dad was a horrible person. He never moved past the whole retreat incident. He took it out on Cax every day until he left for college. And even after his dad watched him like a hawk.

But, once he saw Axel… he knew he couldn’t keep his distance from him. I loved how Axel was really patient with him. He hated Cax’s situation… but understood it. He was constantly pushing Cax out of his comfort zone. Which I liked. I loved their emails and texts they sent to each other.
The sex was pretty good. I felt the I love you’s were said a little to fast to each other. But, I get it. They always thought about each other over the years.

The ending of the book was cute. I liked how it ended. I hope we get Jason’s story. I would like to read about his whole situation turns out!! And I loved reading how Josh and Caleb were doing! It was nice seeing how far they’ve come!

In Front of God and Everyone (Hello Goodbye #1)

Most people called it a cult. But for twenty years, Josh and Caleb called it home.

In Paradise, there is no television. No fast food. Just long hours of farm work and prayer on a dusty Wyoming ranch, and nights in a crowded bunkhouse. The boys of the Compound are kept far from the sinners’ world.

But Joshua doesn’t need temptation to sin. His whole life, he’s wanted his best friend, Caleb. By day they work side by side. Only when Josh closes his eyes at night can they be together the way he craves.

It can never be. And his survival depends on keeping his terrible desires secret.

Caleb has always protected Josh against the worst of the bullying at the Compound. But he has secrets of his own, and a plan to get away — until it all backfires.

Josh finds himself homeless in a world that doesn’t want him. Can Caleb find him in time? And will they find a place of safety, where he can admit to Josh how he really feels?

Warning: Contains a hot male/male romance, copious instances of taking the Lord’s name in vain, and love against the kitchen counter. This book was previously released under the title: In Front of God & Everyone.

  1. So glad you loved it!! It was wonderfully romantic and sweet. Love her M/M books, actually all of her books (except the Bruisers – I don’t know what’s going on there but I don’t really enjoy them as much as I hoped.)
