Screwed Banner

Screwed_amazonI have one rule: Don’t shit where you eat.
Several of the women in the condo complex I own would love some one-on-one playtime, and why wouldn’t they? I’m young, fit, attractive, and loaded. Not to mention I’m packing a sizable bulge below the belt. It’s a combination that drops panties on a regular basis.

Yay, me, right?

But my cock, troublemaker that he is, has been confined to my trousers by my business partner. A concession I agreed to, and one that’s never been hard to enforce until Emery moves in across the hall. She’s smart, young, determined, and sexy as hell. I want a taste. I won’t stop until I’m buried deep inside the succulent new-in-town brunette.

After being warned about my past, she does her best to steer clear, but I’m about to show her that underneath it all, I’m a guy with a heart of gold and a cock of steel.

My name is Hayden Oliver, and this is my story.

SCREWED is standalone romantic comedy by New York Times, Wall Street Journal, and USA Today bestselling author Kendall Ryan. ADD TO GOODREADS

Chapter One

Goddamn. This is going to be harder than I thought.
My eyes swing over to admire the most perfect pear-shaped ass I’ve
ever had the pleasure of laying eyes on while my business partner Hudson
continues lecturing me. I think it’s something important, but there’s nothing
more urgent than my body’s reaction to this shapely brunette. Jesus.
Those tits are definitely real.
“I mean it. Your cock is cut off this time,” Hudson says roughly,
his tone biting.
Tearing my gaze away from the succulent new brunette moving into
unit 4B, I face him. “Not literally cut off. I’m sort of attached to him. You
realize that, right?”
“Well it’s on lock down then. No more of this bullshit. I had
three calls this week alone from hysterical women – our tenants – who you, how
do I put this delicately? You fucked and then left before their pussies were
even dry.”
I smirk at him, but I can’t deny the accusation. We’re like the
real life Melrose Place. Sexy young twenty-somethings all living in close
proximity. There’s bound to be a little drama now and again. Together, Hudson
and I own thirty buildings in the greater Los Angeles area. And some of our
buildings have very fuckable tenants. Up until this point, I’d considered that
a nice bonus, and a perk of the job. Hudson has apparently viewed it
“Who’s that?” I ask, tipping my head toward the bombshell who’s
responsible for all the blood rushing to my groin. Fuck. I should have a
word with her about that, that’s not cool.
Hudson’s eyes swing to the left to see what, or rather, who has
captured my attention. And who’s given me this semi-chub, which I hope he
hasn’t noticed. We’re close, but we’re not that close.
“No, no, no. Don’t get any ideas. You’re not tagging that.”
She’s not close enough to overhear us, but I shoot him a scowl
anyway. “Show some class, man. Tagging is such a juvenile word. I’d take my
time, get her hot and ready first, until she was begging for me to fill her
tight, little cunt.”
“I’m fucking serious. You’re not to even think about her tight
“So you acknowledge she’s got a tight cunt?” I smile, proud of
He wipes sweat from his brow, looking worried. “Hayden, I’m
serious this time.” His voice has taken on a somber tone, and for once, I try
to be serious and focus.
Watching the way the vein throbs in his neck, my smile fades.
We’re standing outside of one of our nicest buildings just outside of downtown,
and the mid-afternoon sun is beating down on us. Suddenly I want to get away from
him, and away from this entire conversation and into the cool air conditioning
inside. Shit has gotten a little too real for me.
“You know me,” I grin at him, trying to lighten the mood. “I just
wanted to have some casual fun.” And if that meant sleeping my way through the
LA singles scene, so be it. I’m not looking for something deeper. I have a
luxury condo in the heart of the Hollywood Hills, drive a new model BMW and
possess a nine-inch cock. Translation: Life is good. Or it was, until Hudson
decided to get a bug up his ass and lay down the law today.
“Did you hear a word I just said? One of your latest conquests
threatened to report our company to the Better Business Bureau for unethical
business practices. This isn’t just about you. This affects me too. And I’ll be
damned if I watch everything we’ve built go down in flames because you can’t
keep your dick in your pants.”
“Point taken.” Hudson is pretty much the best friend, and best
business partner you could ask for. He’s smart as hell, dedicated, works like a
dog day and night. And not to mention when we began our real estate investment
company five years ago, he single-handedly fronted all the start-up capital
from his own savings and trust fund. It took me years to pay him back as the
profits rolled in, and he never once made me feel lesser, or like I was in debt
to him. Not to mention, he’s funny, well-off, and good looking. He’s an
excellent wing-man. Plus he knows the best taco joints.
Unable to help myself, my eyes drift over to her again. 4B fills
out a pair of yoga pants in ways that I doubt are even legal in most countries.
I needed to know what was underneath those curve-hugging black athletic pants.
Simple cotton panties, or a naughty g-string? Either way, I wanted to bury my
fingers inside the waistband of those pants, peel them down her hips and find
out. Perhaps it was because Hudson just made her forbidden fruit, but I wanted
a taste. My damn mouth was practically watering.
She looked smart, and put together, despite her casual attire, including
a tank top and tennis shoes. With a clipboard in one hand, and her trusty
number two pencil in the other, she ticked items off of her list, and
instructed the movers who were unloading and carrying boxes up to her new place
– which just so happened to be directly underneath mine.
“You’re not going to last three minutes let alone three days.” Hudson
grimaces, glancing over again at our newest resident.
“What do you know about her?”
He rolls his eyes, but humors me. “Emery Elaine Winters. She’s an attorney.
Excellent references. Even better credit score, and she signed a one year
lease. And she’s to remain in pristine condition, or so help me God …”
When I glance up at her again, I see Roxy, another of our residents
has joined Emery on the sidewalk, and they appear to be making small talk.
Shaking hands, exchanging words, and smiling at each other. There’s something I
strongly dislike about these two women talking. Roxy is an exotic dancer, and
she I have a bit of a rocky past. Which is a huge fucking understatement, but
not something I care to dwell on now. Hudson mentions something about fourth
quarter taxes, and I tune him out, sure I just heard my name on Roxy’s
over-glossed lips.
“Excuse me, I’ve got business to attend to.” I step around him,
heading straight toward my new prize. Roxy spots me, and takes off for the
parking area.
“Where do you think you’re going?” Hudson calls after me.
“Just being neighborly. Someone’s got to properly welcome Miss
“Dammit, Hayden,” I hear him shout.
“I’ve got this, buddy,” I shout back over my shoulder.
I can control myself around her. I have to, according to Hudson. I
don’t like being told what to do, especially where my cock was concerned, and
hell, it’ll probably only make me want her more, but as I close the distance
between Emery and me, I make a plan.
I would become friends with the
so-hot-I-wanted-to-bend-her-over-and-fuck-her-in-broad-daylight new girl.
This was either the best plan I’d ever had, or would end with me
sporting a black eye, courtesy of my best friend.
It’s go time.

The unexpected love story that began in MANWHORE continues heating up the pages in MANWHORE +1 by New York Times bestselling author Katy Evans…
Billionaire playboy? Check.
Ruthless businessman? Check.
Absolutely sinful? Check.

Malcolm Saint was an assignment. A story. A beautiful, difficult man I was supposed to uncover for a racy exposé.

I intended to reveal him, his secrets, his lifestyle–not let him reveal me. But my head was overtaken by my heart and suddenly nothing could stop me from falling. I fell for him, and I fell hard.

Malcolm Saint is absolute Sin, and I’ve become a hopeless Sinner.

Now that the assignment is over, Saint wants something from me–something unexpected–and I want this wicked playboy’s heart. But how can I prove to the man who trusts no one that I’m worthy of becoming his plus one?

Melanie’s 5-BEST Kiss Award Stars Review:

As if it couldn’t get any better?! That’s what kept bouncing around my mind over and over again as the pages kept disappearing before me. Manwhore+1 the follow-up to the mega addictive Manwhore series just blew me away. This picks up from the first book in the series and I’ve got to say that Katy Evans proved to me just why I love this stage in a relationship; the point when the cat and mouse game and most of the doubts vanish concentrating so much more on building a strong relationship. To say that I was floating on cloud 9 during this entire ride would be the perfect way to describe how Malcolm and Rachel’s story made me feel.  I LOVED, LOVED, LOVED everything about this book. The development of the characters as individuals to the way in which their relationship grows into so much more than lust. What I appreciated so much also about this series was that the author didn’t one dwell on Malcolm Saints gaudy past with his throngs of women. Though it was definitely known, it didn’t put me off but instead it illuminated just how much he’d changed once Rachel came into his life.

Rachel continually impressed me and made me love her even more so than I did in the first book. She was so sure of how she felt towards not only Malcolm but also in her future endeavors—there’s nothing better than a heroine who has her stuff together without stepping on anyone’s toes. I loved the way in which she saw Malcolm, he feelings endless—so much deeper than his pockets and those feelings so mutually returned by this converted playboy. Everything about these two were just so intense and I swear, this still win the BEST KISS award—over and over and over again. Still had my pants on FIRE!

Manwhore+1 was everything I could have wanted to follow up with and I cannot wait until October 5th when we get some more these two. I’m so impatient for it I don’t know what to do with myself. Thank you Katy Evans for giving me one massive book hangover.

From Katy Evans, the New York Times bestselling author of Real, Mine, Remy, Rogue, and Rippedcomes the first novel in a sexy new series.

Book 1, The Manwhore Series

Is it possible to expose Chicago’s hottest player–without getting played? This is the story I’ve been waiting for all my life, and its name is Malcolm Kyle Preston Logan Saint. Don’t be fooled by that last name though. There’s nothing holy about the man except the hell his parties raise. The hottest entrepreneur Chicago has ever known, he’s a man’s man with too much money to spend and too many women vying for his attention.

Mysterious. Privileged. Legendary. His entire life he’s been surrounded by the press as they dig for tidbits to see if his fairytale life is for real or all mirrors and social media lies. Since he hit the scene, his secrets have been his and his alone to keep. And that’s where I come in.

Assigned to investigate Saint and reveal his elusive personality, I’m determined to make him the story that will change my career.

But I never imagined he would change my life. Bit by bit, I start to wonder if I’m the one discovering him…or if he’s uncovering me.

What happens when the man they call Saint, makes you want to sin?

Melanie’s 5-SINful Stars Review:

OMG!!!!!!!! OMFG!!!!! I am soooooo doing a happy dance right now!!! I reached deep in my book allowance and caved; finally deciding to purchase Manwhore by Katy Evans. With so many books out there on the market and my insatiable reading needs, I like many book obsessed ladies out there have to watch our spending habits but I had no doubt that the maker of THE Remington Tate from the Real series would do me in good and my goodness, did she do me in GOOD with Malcolm Saint. Holy hotness! I feel like I’d flat lined during the past couple of weeks and needed something to wake up my senses and Manwhore did just that.

This book held me captive and I swear, I was holding my breath during the entire time I inhaled this book. There was no time for pause, no time in which I could afford to be away from Malcom Saint and Rachel Livingston. These two together were electric; the tension and the want that bounced off the pages were exactly what I needed. It’s what gets my heart beating erratically and my overactive imagination running wild of what is to come. And people… people!!!! I didn’t think it could be done but the amount of make-out sesh that happen time and time again between these two— OMG! They were enough to light my pants on FIRE! I didn’t think kissing alone could do that. The way that Katy Evans dragged it out; it just showed such intimacy and sensuality. BEST make-out sesh I have EVER read from any book. GAH!

I also loved how the author was able to find the perfect balance between the cat and mouse game without it dragging into something of an annoyance. I didn’t feel frustrated, I felt desperate for Saint and Rachel to finally be on the same page because when they were together; they were magic. This is definitely a series that is so worth every penny. A heroine who is independent, smart, caring, and beautiful to boot. I loved Rachel. I loved the fact that she was a go getter and she listened to both her practical and sensual sides; a realist with a  fairytale dream. I could definitely connect with that. And MALCOLM SAINT (yes, he deserves all the CAPS in the world), is just pure sin. A man who has the world under his feet; Chicago’s most wanted playboy who exploits the title without apologies. Confident, powerful, and virile. Yeah…. He’s pretty dang delicious, I could taste him even to the tip of my tongue. The many ways in which he woos Rachel— yeah.. Book boyfriend material for sure! I was wishing during quite a few scenes in this book that I’d get his point of view because I just know that the thoughts that were running in his mind are so worth reading about. That’s what I loved about Katy Evans writing in this book. She made you want more. More, more, more. Speaking of more, I’m off to read Manwhore+1 in which I’m sure I will go crazy for.

So if you are in the market for something that will make you lose your mind and do your own happy dance, then get this series NOW!!! I swear, it is so worth every penny.

Wander and Roam by Anna Kyss Book Review

In the last year, Abby Bentley has failed out of college and lost her high school sweetheart. Unwilling to return home, Abby signs up to volunteer on an Australian farm, where she can hide away from her family and isolate to her heart’s desire. Best of all, no one will care about her past. Abby soon discovers she’ll be sharing most of her daylight hours–as well as a very small yurt–with the farm’s other volunteer: sexy, flirtatious Sage.

The more hours they spend together, the more conflicted Abby becomes. Torn between a growing attraction to Sage and faltering loyalty to her old boyfriend, Abby escapes to her refuge of writing letters she will never send. When Abby finally reveals her past, Sage’s secret about his future threatens their bond. With Abby running from her past and Sage trying to escape his future, can they build a relationship in the here and now?

Melanie’s 2.5 Star Review:

Wander and Roam by Anna Kyss is filled with lots of emotion. Though both Abby and Sage harbored secrets that were so deeply felt, they both navigated through life completely differently. While Sage wanted to experience everything that life had to offer, Abby stopped living afraid to drown in the guilt of enjoying life. It is when they come together in a secluded area in Australia volunteering for WWOOF helping a single mother who owns the Organic Farm that Abby learns to let go of her past and begins to finally live. However gratifying it was for her, it soon becomes short lived once Sage’s secret is revealed.

So here’s the thing. I loved absolutely loved the cover and the blurb; these were the reasons I picked it up in the first place. However, I felt that both secrets though quite predictable were just way too drawn out for my taste. I get Abby’s apprehension after experiencing something quite painful for someone young but the way in which it was delivered—the open ended questions and letters to try and draw me in just didn’t quite work for me. I felt like their secrets kept Abby and Sage apart more than it connected them together. I was frustrated by this because well, the idea behind it had way too much potential for it to fall flat but unfortunately it did for me.

What I did really enjoy about this was the message behind Sage and Abby’s stories. It reminded me how important it is to live in the moment; their experiences brought this to the forefront. Our past and our future shouldn’t dictate how we should feel about the “now. The way in which this was delivered was poignantly done.

I hope that whatever Anna Kyss has in store for Sage and Abby as their story continues showcases their coming together rather than what is keeping them apart. I am also quite disappointed that the next book in the series is instead of Sage’s best friend and Abby’s cousin instead of continuing their story straightaway (I also didn’t appreciate the note at the end of the book behind the reason why). So if you’re in the market for something packed with angst and tears, I’d say give Wander and Roam a chance as it might hit a much deeper chord for you than it did for me.

They don’t play for the same team. Or do they?

Jamie Canning has never been able to figure out how he lost his closest friend. Four years ago, his tattooed, wise-cracking, rule-breaking roommate cut him off without an explanation. So what if things got a little weird on the last night of hockey camp the summer they were eighteen? It was just a little drunken foolishness. Nobody died.

Ryan Wesley’s biggest regret is coaxing his very straight friend into a bet that pushed the boundaries of their relationship. Now, with their college teams set to face off at the national championship, he’ll finally get a chance to apologize. But all it takes is one look at his longtime crush, and the ache is stronger than ever.

Jamie has waited a long time for answers, but walks away with only more questions—can one night of sex ruin a friendship? If not, how about six more weeks of it? When Wesley turns up to coach alongside Jamie for one more hot summer at camp, Jamie has a few things to discover about his old friend…and a big one to learn about himself.

Warning: contains sexual situations, skinnydipping, shenanigans in an SUV and proof that coming out to your family on social media is a dicey proposition.

I’m a sucker for books where best friends get together. I also love M/M books. Put those two together! And you have a winning combination in my book!
This book was everything I was expecting it to be! It was funny, a little sad, the sex scenes were pretty hot! I could not put this book down.

Wes and Jamie have known each other for years. They met at Elites. A summer camp for youth hockey players. Every year they would go to Lake Placid. It’s a small town 5 hours away from New York. To sharpen their skills as hockey players.

At first they didn’t get along. Two young kids trying to one up each other. But as time went on. They developed a true friendship.
Their last summer at camp Wes and Jamie do something that changed their friendship.
One person freaked out and the other wanted to continue and explore what they did together.
Four years past…. Until they meet up and talk again.

I loved Wes and Jamie together.
They kind of picked up there old bander. Sending gag gifts to each other. Hanging out and talking.
but… at the same time working through all the stuff that happened between them at camp all those years ago.

I absolutely love when a straight guy is figuring out his feelings for another man.
All the experimenting…
And acceptance and just overall the different stages he goes through coming to terms with it. That being with a man is really what makes him happy.

I loved how the authors didn’t drag anything out or put undue drama in this book. Everything flowed in this book smoothly.
I hope we get more of Jamie and Wes in the future! I would love to read more about them.
