BLOG TOUR & BOOK REVIEW: Mr. President by Katy Evans

Mr. President by Katy Evans

Release Date: October 31st
Genre: Contemporary Romance

He’s won the hearts of millions. But is he willing to lose his?

I met the president’s son when we were both young. Matthew Hamilton was handsome, polished, and intelligent. I’d never met a guy like him.

He promised me that he’d never run for president. I promised that if he did, I’d be by his side.

Three terms later, an invitation to join Matthew Hamilton’s campaign is the most exhilarating opportunity I’ve ever experienced. I’m determined to make a difference; he is determined to win.

Focused on his goal, Matt is steadfast, ruthless, and disarming. All eyes are on him and his popularity is surging. But soon, the next possible president of the United States is possessing me in more ways than one—and despite the risks, I’m helpless to resist.

We’re stealing touches, stealing moments, and stealing away at night. But our chemical connection is quickly becoming dangerously combustive, putting not only my heart, but Matt’s chance at the presidency on the line.

Winning will take everything. Walking away will be the hardest thing of all.

When a book hangover is so strong it has the power to incapacitate you. Katy Evan’s Mr. President has done just that to me. I cannot for the love of me get past this book. It’s all I’ve been able to think about and I can’t seem to do anything about it. There was something so agonizingly addictive about this book. Mr. President a slow burning love story in which the author continuously feeds the embers, keeping the fire blazing from start to finish.

In Mr. President, we follow Matthew Hamilton, America’s Golden Boy and Charlotte Wells, America’s sweetheart. Both whom you will undoubtedly love from the moment their taste hits the tip of your tongue. While both have lived lives that revolved around politics, Matthew’s family lineage is solely embroiled in American politics which spans decade’s and decade’s worth. As the son of a beloved, former President, Matt has been raised to put himself in the same position years before he even has a chance to contemplate the possibility of it. And as a young girl, Charlotte’s opportune meeting with a well-respected President and his very charismatic son, leads to a girlish crush that too spans a decade’s worth. Fast forward 11 years later, we find Matthew Hamilton proclaiming his candidacy for Presidency under the Independent ticket—one that causes major controversy across the Democratic party of which his father represented 2 terms worth. For Charlotte, that girlish crush she once thought was nothing but a young girl’s fantasy soon becomes a fantasy she never could have ever imagined possible. The moment that they both lay their eyes onto one another so many years after is also the moment that they both begin to lose what has yet to begin.

The events that unfold once the ball starts rolling will have you turning into a puddle of goo. The delicious tease that drags on from one chapter to the next is excruciatingly wonderful. Katy Evans holds some type of magic. She creates such gorgeous characters that she makes you need. A need that becomes so innate, you become precariously obsessed with them. Charlotte and Matt will make you lose your mind! Their chemistry will set an inferno within you—what begins as a spark turns into a blazing fire, one that not even the Atlantic Ocean could extinguish and their love as unattainable as it seems will soften even the hardest of hearts.

What I loved most about this book was Ms. Evan’s take on what goes on behind the scenes of what it takes to have a successful Presidential campaign, behind the winning debates, and more so what goes on inside a Presidential nominee like Matthew Hamilton. Mr. President is a searing look into the sacrifices made in order to serve a country and its people. The adoration and the love that Charlotte and Matt have for their country is so powerful that they face losing the greatest love both of them may ever have in this lifetime. The push and pull will have you angst lovers cheering and the sexy times (and there are A LOT) will have you romance lovers clenching your thighs into oblivion.

The way I felt during the entire time I was reading this book is the reason why I relish reading romance books. I LOVED Mr. President. I am OBSESSED with Matt and Charlotte and I am so THANKFUL for Katy Evans for writing such an amazing book. Mr. President sits atop as 1 of my 3 2016 BEST READS so far. I just know that you will all love this as much as I did—OK maybe not AS much because I’ve called dibs on this one but it is a guaranteed 5-star read. This has my bookshelf worthy stamp of approval and one I will continually re-read time and time again.

Lessons in Temptation By Chloe Max Book Blitz

Title: Lessons in Temptation
Series: Lessons #2
Author: Chloe Maxx
Release Date: Oct 17, 2016

My name is Rebecca Wilson and I’m an awful person.

My life was good.

Or, at least, it was to the outside world.

He was so alluring.

It was only supposed to be one night of fun, then I’d go back home to my boyfriend and new job, never to see him again.

Of course, life had other plans—plans to throw him, along with his little sister, back into my path and tempt me to change my soul forever.

After renting a couple chairs and an umbrella, I set my bag on the sand and removed my shorts and tank top, exposing my turquoise bikini. It was a little more revealing than I normally wore, but it was really cute and I wanted to feel sexy.
Max made me feel sexy, I thought. The way his eyes had raked up and down my body, turning lusty, had definitely made me feel sexy… and it was an odd feeling for me.
Shaking those thoughts away, I dug through my bag for my sunscreen. The sun was blazing and the last thing I needed was a red face and body.
I found the bottle and bent over, spraying my legs first.
“I can help you with that,” I heard a voice say.
My head snapped up, finding Max walking toward me. “What?” I asked, struck stupid by his exposed chest and swim trunks.
“I said I could help you with that.” He came to a stop in front of me. “I wouldn’t want that beautiful back of yours to burn.”
I shook my head, clearing my thoughts of how hot he looked and the fact that he had just called my back beautiful. “Max, we’re supposed to be friends.”
“That’s what I’m doing. Being your friend by not letting your back scorch from the sun. Friends don’t like other friends to be in pain—at least not my version of friends.”
“Fine,” I relented—his reasoning was pretty solid—and handed him the bottle. “Thank you.”
He smiled and grabbed it from my hand. “Come sit down under the umbrella so I can make sure I don’t miss a spot. The sun is blinding.”
After taking a deep breath, I sat down sideways on the chair. Max smirked, and to my surprise, sat down on the chair, draping his legs over the sides. “Now, scoot between my legs.”
“Rebecca,” he said as he grabbed me by the waist and placed me between his legs. “There. Now I can do a good job.”
He began spraying my shoulders, which shouldn’t have been sexual in any way, but I couldn’t help the shiver that ran up my spine. He worked his way down my back, then pressed his chest against me. “Should I untie this tiny little string?” he whispered into my ear. “I wouldn’t want you to burn.”
“I… um…” I stammered, “I doubt that would happen under the fabric.”
I began to get up, but his hand came around my lower stomach, stopping me. “Wait. I need to rub it in.”
“You don’t have to do that.”
“Yeah, I do.”

RELEASE DAY BLITZ & BOOK REVIEW: Scoring the Billionaire (Billionaire Bad Boys #3) by Max Monroe

Two love-matches made.
One to go.

Even though two of his best friends have settled down, Wes Lancaster is determined not to get sucked into some siren’s web. As owner of the professional football team the New York Mavericks and wildly successful BAD restaurant, his lifestyle is full as it is.

Well, it was, until Winnie Winslow, the new, sexy, stiletto-wearing Team Physician trash-talks him in the locker room without batting an eye.

Now he can’t stop himself from wanting her.

The only girl in her parents’ brood of five, she’s as outspoken as she is beautiful and the kind of woman who holds her own—and then some.

Always competitive at heart, if he’s going all in for love…
Wes sure as hell wants a Win-Win.

Prepare to get a little dirty because this one might go into overtime.
Game. On.

It’s either a character, a set of characters, or the plot line that tethers me to a book. In the case of Scoring a Billionaire, there was one particular character—an unexpected one that won my heart over. Lexi Winslow was a welcome surprise. She is the sunshine on a cloudy day, the cherry on top, the winning lottery ticket. Lexi is Winnie Winslow’s daughter and the mother/daughter relationship between them was one of my most favorite part in the book. As a single mom, Winnie has greatly relied on her own strength and perseverance as well as help from her brothers. When Winnie’s character was first introduced in Banking the Billionaire, I knew that she would be a great addition to this beloved series. But it was when I realized that she would be Wes Lancaster’s love interest that really piqued my interest. Honestly, I couldn’t wait to finally read their story because I felt like these two characters had so much more to lose along the way.

In Scoring the Billionaire, there’s this stifling sexual tension between Winnie and Wes. It was like the more they denied their feelings for one another, the more their need became. And the more their need for one another became, the hotter the words across my e-reader became. It truly was a Win-Win. For Wes, it was difficult for him to truly open himself up to the possibility of a life-long relationship because of his past. A known uptight workaholic, Wes Lancaster’s world tilts as soon as he lays his eyes on his new team physician, Winnie Winslow. But it isn’t until little Lexi with an unbelievable knack for numbers steps into his life that his world is turned upside down. I loved his interaction with her and I could totally relate as to how she won him over.

We also get the chance to reunite with the first two couples in the Billionaire Bad Boy series. I was quickly reminded why I became a Max Monroe fanatic. Trust me when I say that these 4 did not disappoint. Thatch and Cassie were as crazy and funny as ever while Kline and Georgia were still as ridiculously in love and hot for one another! Gosh how I love them!

As I had expected, Winnie and Wes had the most to lose by giving into one another. With Lexi in the picture, they couldn’t afford the same lax behavior that Kline and Georgia and Thatch and Cassie could. Everything was on the line from the moment that hotel door closed behind Wes and Winnie. While this book wasn’t exactly my fave of the series, I have to say that it is by far the most charming and most heartwarming of all.

It is a bittersweet feeling to know that the follow-up to this book, Scoring Her would be the last in this laugh out loud, sexy as sin series. However, mixed emotions I seem to be feeling about it, I am super excited to read it too. So if you’re a Max Monroe/Billionaire Bad Boys fanatic like me, you definitely need to read this one.

RELEASE DAY BLITZ & BOOK REVIEW: A Place in the Sun by R.S. Grey

Title: A Place in the Sun

Author: R.S. Grey

Release Date: Oct 24, 2016

Add on Goodreads

When her mother’s incessant matchmaking hits an all-time high, Georgie Archibald does what any sensible woman would do: she flees the country.
Seeking refuge in the picturesque seaside village of Vernazza, Italy, Georgie’s only plan is to lie low, gorge herself on gelato, and let the wine and waves wash her troubles away…that is until she wakes up in a bed that belongs to the most romantic-looking man she’s ever seen.
After going out of his way to rescue her, the former London financier turned mysterious recluse makes it clear that despite acting as her white knight, he has no plans to co-star in her fairytale.
But Georgie isn’t asking for his heart—she’s merely intrigued.
After all, Gianluca isn’t just gorgeous—tall and tan from days spent in the sun—his touch sets her world on fire. With him, Georgie experiences the most intoxicating passion she’s ever known, and it only takes a few steamy nights for her to realize that sometimes running away from trouble is the best way to find it.

A Place in the Sun played out like a movie right before my very eyes. Everything about this book from its vivid imagery to the magnificent narration to its enthralling dialogue are simply begging for a movie deal. I am desperate for Georgie and Gianluca’s story to be projected across the big screen because I honestly, wholeheartedly believe that is exactly where this love story belongs. I cannot express just how much I loved this book! I’ve read quite a bit of R.S. Grey’s work—many of which I’ve wholly enjoyed but hands down, this one is my MOST FAVORITE ever. A romantic journey between two unlikely people, one on a mission to fall madly in love while the other has sworn off love completely. What unravels in the pages of this wonderful book is one that I know I’ll think about over and over again. I have this major book hangover and all I want to do is start all over again and re-read the heck out of it. I set out with hopes of liking this book but like Georgie, instead I found myself falling madly, completely, and deeply in love with it instead.

For those who’ve read R.S. Grey’s Settling The Score, book one in her Summer Games series then you’ll be familiar with Georgie Archibald. The lively, vivacious little sister of Olympic swimmer Freddie Archibald. While she played a major role during her here and there cameos, I just knew that she would be such a fun character to follow. I am thanking my lucky stars right now that Ms. Grey decided on giving her, her own book because let me tell you guys… Georgie OWNS A Place in the Sun. She shined like a diamond, she slayed like Bey, and she brought the entire village of Vernazza down! I loved, LOVED how she saw the world around her and I absolutely loved how she really lived life. She made things happen without regard of how it may not turn out her way. Fear or failure be damned. Tired of her mum’s pushiness to marry her off to the next English bloke, she sets off and traverses to Italy to find love. Leave it to luck (or magic) that she falls head over heels in love with the village recluse. Gianluca, struggling to move on with his life continues to grieve a lost love never again believing nor wanting for love to find him again. But as fate or luck (or magic) would have it, he finds himself warry but so totally interested by this vivacious, beautiful English woman who quite literally falls into his arms.

The way in which their relationship progresses was beyond perfection. Every which way that the author took her characters in was just right—the timing and the meaning behind all of their feelings for one another just made sense. Like it all just fell into place exactly as they should have. The swoon factor… OMG the many, many moments that just took my breath away and with the swoon of course came the heat. Holy mother of Italian stallions! Georgie and Luca brought the sexy in sex! Nothing about it was crass, rather it was sensually erotic. Every single intimate moment meant something and there is nothing sexier than that.

I over indulged in R.S. Grey’s storytelling and there was zero ounce of guilt to be found. This book had it all. Witty laugh out loud moments with just the right touch of drama and a whole lot of romance which all revolved around two of the best fictional couples I’ve had the pleasure of knowing. A Place in the Sun definitely has a place on my book shelf. The author’s writing is spectacular—she takes you on a journey without even needing to pack your luggage and boarding a plane. You feel and taste every single detail in its pages.

I’ll say it again, THIS BOOK DESERVES A DAMN MOVIE!!! Do you hear me out there?! C’mon HOLLYWOOD, it’s time to take these pages onto the big screen. This would be one I’d gladly fork over $20.00 to watch. R.S. Grey has hit gold and I have hit a solid wall of book hangovers. One that I know can only be ebbed by re-reading A Place in the Sun once, or twice, or THRICE over. A quick book not because of the number of pages but because it’s simply a page turner. This has my book shelf worthy stamp of approval and one that I highly recommend to just about anyone out there.

BLOG TOUR & BOOK REVIEW: Royally Screwed by Emma Chase

royally-screwed-for-webEmma Chase, New York Times bestselling author of the Tangled Series & Legal Briefs Series, returns with the first of three sizzling standalone books about a family of racy, irresistible Royals.

Nicholas Arthur Frederick Edward Pembrook, Crowned Prince of Wessco, aka “His Royal Hotness”, is wickedly charming, devastatingly handsome, and unabashedly arrogant—hard not to be when people are constantly bowing down to you.

Then, one snowy night in Manhattan, the prince meets a dark haired beauty who doesn’t bow down. Instead, she throws a pie in his face.

Nicholas wants to find out if she tastes as good as her pie, and this heir apparent is used to getting what he wants.

Dating a prince isn’t what waitress Olivia Hammond ever imagined it would be.

There’s a disapproving queen, a wildly inappropriate spare heir, relentless paparazzi, and brutal public scrutiny. While they’ve traded in horse drawn carriages for Rolls Royces and haven’t chopped anyone’s head off lately—the royals are far from accepting of this commoner.

But to Olivia—Nicholas is worth it.

Nicholas grew up with the whole world watching, and now Marriage Watch is in full force. In the end, Nicholas has to decide who he is, but more importantly, who he wants to be: a King… or the man who gets to love Olivia forever.

A feel good read that will pull at your heartstrings, Emma Chase’s Royally Screwed is pure, unadulterated romance. I finished this book last night and as I turned off my e-reader I realized that plastered across my face was a huge smile and as I woke up this morning, I could have sworn that the birds were singing as I glided across my bedroom floor. Oh yeah, I may have taken the whole princess thing to another level. This modern day fairy tale is sweet, witty, and tantalizingly sexy I was bewitched truly and fully. I couldn’t get enough of Olivia and Nicholas.

Like all Disney princesses, Olivia Hammond the lead female protagonist in this fairy tale has been handed the short end of the stick in life. Losing her mother tragically causes her entire life to unravel for the worst. Day in and day out she lives to care for her younger sister and her grief stricken father, never taking any time to live for herself. I absolutely loved Olivia. Her unyielding perseverance and loyalty along with her ability to love thoroughly is exactly what Prince Nicholas needs in his life. And without even knowing it, Nicholas is exactly who Olivia needed to give her the love she so greatly deserved. Now I’m not even going to lie, I’m shamelessly obsessed with the idea of the Royal Family and Royally Screwed gave me the opportunity to dive into what could possibly go on inside the mysterious royal palace. If the real royals are anything remotely like Prince Nicholas, then by golly sign me up to partake in anything and everything that happens in the royal chambers. My goodness you guys, Nicholas is not only swoon worthy but he is SO drool worthy too!!! It was the way in which he looked at Olivia and the hunger he had for her that made me fall hopelessly in love with the guy. Prince or not, Nicholas had me so completely ga-ga over him.

The pull that Olivia and Nicholas had for one another was addictive. You could feel the fire between them; the innate need to be around each other and to have total control over one another. I was hooked from the moment that Nicholas stepped into Olivia’s NYC coffee shop during one snowy night. I loved that things weren’t always rainbows and unicorns between them because the hardships that befall them became a great part of their story. Those hardships made those pesky tears to spill from my eyes and to pour down my cheeks a good couple of times in this book. But the best part about having to suffer through them is the reprieve that follows and Emma Chase soothes the pain so superbly. It allows readers like me, to get the full experience. The oohs and the aahs alongside the boos and the hoos. A beautiful balance of the good and the bad to get to that eventual happily ever after.

I relished in the splendor of Emma Chase’s take on a royal fairy tale. I fell in love with Olivia and Nicholas and their love story. Royally Screwed to me is Emma’s greatest work yet. It touches on everything that I love in a book and I cannot wait to re-read this one time and time again. This has my book shelf worthy stamp of approval and most definitely stands as one of my all-time fave reads.

A Prince and a beautiful American commoner from the big city who not only do naughty and delicious things to one another but who love each other so much that it proved that their love knew no bounds… What more can a romance junkie ask for?

She’s even lovelier than I remembered, than I dreamed. Delicate midnight tendrils frame a face that belongs in a museum—with stunning dark sapphire eyes that should be commemorated in vibrant oils and soft watercolors. If Helen launched a thousand ships, this girl could raise a thousand hard-ons.

She’s prettily made, the top of her head coming only to my chin, but fantastically curvy. Great full tits that strain the buttons of a wrinkled white blouse, shapely hips in a black skirt tapering to a tiny waist I could wrap my hands around and toned legs encased in sheer black tights finish off the whole package very nicely.

An unfamiliar anxiousness fizzes like soda in my gut.

“The door was open,” I explain.

“It’s broken.”

Logan flicks at the lock. Security is his life, so a broken lock would annoy him like a puzzle with the final piece missing.

“What do you want?”

She has no idea who I am. It’s in the defensive way she holds herself and the accusatory note in her voice. Some women try to pretend they don’t recognize me, but I can always tell. Her ignorance is rather…thrilling. There are no expectations, no hidden agendas, no reasons to pretend—what she sees is what she gets. And all she sees is me.

My throat is suddenly a barren wasteland. I swallow, but it’s difficult.

“Well, he’s desperate for some pie.” I hook my thumb at Simon. “And I…wanted to apologize for the other evening. I don’t normally act that way. I was on a bit of bender…”

“In my experience, people don’t do things when they’re drunk that they wouldn’t do normally.”

“No, you’re right. I would’ve thought all those things, but I never would’ve said them out loud.” I move closer, slowly. “And if I’d been sober…my opening bid would’ve been much higher.”

“She crosses her arms. “Are you trying to be cute?”

“No. I don’t have to try…it just sort of happens.”

And I loved how it wasn’t your usual hot pursuit from the alpha male.
Oh no… this alpha male had a little help from his little wing man aka.. his cute little nephew
(future alpha in the making!)

Raven was your typical teacher maybe a little nerdy. She loved her job working with kids. And once Jack saw Raven while picking up his nephew….he just knew she was the one! Enlisting his little nephew to help him get his dream girl. It was just so cute!!

I loved how Jack really put some work into getting Raven! And once he got his hands on Raven at the school dance!
Game over… Raven never had a chance!!!

If I don’t get inside her soon, I’ll die, and then my ghost will spend eternity haunting her and trying to ghost-fuck her.

I loved that line! That’s a new one from Alexa Riley for me. And I could so see them writing a book about an alpha ghost going after the girl of his dreams!…lol

Lucky Chance by Carina Adams

Lucky is the golden boy in his college town.   A filthy talking bad boy, he can have any woman he wants.   Except Ms. Bernard.   A chance encounter. One unforgettable night.   Breaking the rules never felt so good.
Author Bio
Carina Adams has been writing and creating characters for as long as she can remember, allowing her to fall in love with the next man of her dreams with every new story.
Thankfully, fate stepped in and granted her the ultimate wish – a life full of men. Carina lives in a picturesque New England town with her husband, the man who ruined the thought of all others, and two amazing sons who always keep her on her toes.
Carina received her MBA in May, but would much rather play with her imaginary friends (the voices in her head) than work her 8 to 5. When she isn’t trying to juggle being a working mom with karate and drama practices, surprising her children with her sci-fi movie knowledge, or writing, you can find her with her nose pressed against her kindle, on the back of her husband’s motorcycle, or living life vicariously as her Derby Girl persona, Writers Block.

I loved how this book played out. I wish the ending was a little more. Ended a little differently. But still overall was good.

Lucky and Sunny were pretty hot together. The sex! Omg!
Lucky was a bit of a jerk. But I loved how Sunny took charged and and didn’t take any of his crap.

I loved how they went back and forth with each other. That’s what turned on Lucky. Sunny was a little older and knew what she wanted.

“Tell me what you want.”

“Baby, if you don’t know, maybe you should let me take over.”

The ending… made them seem like they were done for good. I hope not. I would love to read a full length book about them!

Perfect Chemistry by Aria Cole

Devon Walsh is the chemistry teacher at the local high school, and in all his years teaching, he’s never looked at a student inappropriately. Until Karoline Kingston steps through his door, with the body of a goddess and innocent eyes that beguile him. He’s distracted throughout class but vows to keep his distance, despite every primal urge telling him to take her hard and mark her as his own.   Karoline and Devon count down the days until she’s eighteen and Mr. Walsh can finally touch the woman that he’s been waiting for his entire life. But when he finds another student assaulting her in a dark hallway, Devon loses his mind with rage. Threatening to expose the risky road Karoline and Devon had found themselves on, he vows to protect Karoline no matter the cost.
Devon walsh is brilliant, demanding, and lives life by a rigid set of rules. As chemistry teacher at the high school, his focus is single-minded, his expectations exacting, he has little interest in dating or relationships because nothing comes between him and the job. But Devon has one downfall that he never saw coming and she’s tall, curvy, and completely forbidden.   Seventeen-year-old karoline kingston spends more time in the library than she does at senior parties. She’s always managed to escape the attention of the cocky guys in her class, but this year she’s back with a new set of curves that can’t be hidden no matter how hard she tries. Awkward and uncomfortable, Karoline avoids the eyes of everyone, until she sets eyes on her new teacher, the brilliant, sexy and totally intimidating Mr. Walsh.
They do their best to play by the rules, but the chemistry between them is too explosive, each desperate look, every fevered touch pushing them closer to the forbidden edge. Just when they think they’ve found everything , all they’ve worked at protecting is threatened in a single fevered moment, because Mr. Walsh broke his first rule: never bang a student.

This one was ok.
A little drawn out. But ok.

Devon was a little too moody in the beginning. Fighting his feeling for Karoline. And Karoline was a quite school girl.
Devon protected karoline from a bully at school. And just couldn’t let her go.
I thought the ending of this book was cute.

Playing with Fire by Mara White
Out of all the shitty things that could possibly happen to you in high school… My parents got divorced and mom couldn’t afford the rent in Manhattan. So she did what any secure, sane and responsible adult would do, move back into the house she grew up in with her parents in Ohio. And where does that leave me? A dedicated dancer about to graduate from LaGuardia Performing Arts, a shoe-in for Juilliard who’s used to navigating the city streets she’s known ever since kindergarten? In Beaufort, Ohio—that’s where, sharing a bunk bed with my mom and starting a brand new school midway through my senior year.

Illicit by Ava Harrison

One night of passion with a stranger. My last escape before senior year. I was never supposed to see him again. But now I see him every day during first period. It’s against the rules to ever touch him. Because now that school’s in session, he’s off limits. Forbidden. Illicit.
Ughhh… this one started off so good.
But Carson’s back and forth got to me. It was so frustrating!
It didn’t even really feel forbidden to me because he kept pushing her away.
And Lynn I felt was a bit childish. Her whole family situation was pretty sad.
I just felt Carson added to her drama.

Firecracker by Roya Carmen

A fun steamy rom-com. An uptight bookkeeper. A cocky French Canadian artist. Sammy gets roped into attending an art retreat in Québec City, and falls for her very sexy art instructor.

This was a cute story! It made me want to go to Canada and find a artist! lol

Sammy and Alex were so cute together.
I loved how Sammy didn’t have an artistic bone in her body. And Alex just went with it. The sex scenes were so nice. Lazy days making love.

The ending was everything! Loved it. I could so read more about them.

There is nothing I enjoy more than sitting down at my laptop and making up my own stories – and if those tales should include beautiful men, a little romance, and a few steamy scenes, all the better!

“The caveman inside me bangs on his chest at the thought of marking her as mine, inside and out.”

And Abbi was the innocent virgin!
What more can you ask for!

I’m a lover of all things books, a hopeless romantic, and have always had a passion for writing. Between being a sappy romantic, my love of an HEA, my crazy imagination, and ok, let’s be real, my dirty mind, I fell easily into writing romance.
I’m a huge baseball fan and yet, a complete girly, girl. I’m an obsessive reader and have a slight (hahaha! Slight? Yeah, right) addiction to signed books.
I’m married to my very own book boyfriend, an alpha male with a sexy, sweet side. He is the best inspiration, my biggest supporter and the love of my life. He is also incredibly patient and understanding about the fact that he has to fight the voices in my head for my attention.
I hope you enjoy reading my books as much as I enjoyed writing them!

Salacious by A.Zavarelli
Keller Vaughn is everything that I aspire to be. An artist. A visionary. A creator. If ever a perfect man existed, it would be him. The only problem is… that perfect man? He’s also my professor.   I came here to teach. To absolve myself from the guilt of my past by doing good for others. That plan has worked out just fine. Until her. Chloe Abernathy. Because when I see the shy dancer in the back of my classroom, the man in me wants nothing more to corrupt her.

Author Bio

A. Zavarelli is a romance book junkie, cat lover, and traveler when plagued by intense cases of wanderlust. She likes all things chocolate, books that come with warnings, and putting her characters through hell.
Her tales have been known to flirt with darkness and sometimes court it unabashedly altogether. Revenge themes and tortured souls are her favorites to write and this gives her an excuse to watch bizarre and twisted documentaries in her spare time.
She is slightly obsessed with Theo James and funny animal memes. If you don’t mind these things, you should add her on facebook. Even better, make sure you don’t miss a new release by signing up for the newsletter below.
In The Moment by Alison G. Bailey

One night.   One random meeting.   And one moment was all it took to bring Cadence Fletcher’s heart, soul, and body back to life.

After reading the first 2 stories in this anthology. This book was on the serious side. I’m not saying it was bad. But it did slow things down for me. I just wasn’t expecting it. I also found myself putting down my kindle to do other things.
It just wasn’t holding my attention.
And I just have to say… the whole Crisco thing was a big wth for me. What doctor would recommend that.

And… I did not consider this story to be a teacher/ student book.

I just wasn’t feeling this story.

Author Bio

Alison lives in Charleston, SC. Her debut novel, Present Perfect, is an Amazon and International bestseller. The novel won Best Book at the 2014 Indie Romance Convention Awards. Both follow-up novels in the Perfect Series landed on many Best Of Lists for 2014-2015. Stop!, Alison’s first YA novel was named one of the top YA novels of 2015.

Defy by L.J. Shen

My name is Melody Greene, and I have a confession to make. I slept with my student, a senior in high school. Multiple times. I had multiple orgasms. In multiple positions. I slept with my student and I enjoyed it. I slept with my student and I’d do it all over again if I could turn back time. My name is Melody Greene, and I got kicked out of my position as a teacher and did my walk of shame a la Cersei Lannister from the principal’s office, minutes after said principal threatened to call the cops on me.
Author Bio

L.J. Shen is a former entertainment and music journalist, a recovering hipster, a hopeless romantic and a reformed Riot grrrl. She speaks three languages – four, if you include sarcasm. She writes everything from dark to comedy, as long as there’s enough love and romance involved. Shen lives in Northern California with her son, husband, cat and collection of designer shoes.
L.J. wants to be Tina Fey when she grows up. Keep your fingers crossed for her.
Riding Through by Dani Wyatt
Everything was going fine until I saw her ass in those riding pants. Constance Montgomery with her legs spread on the leather of the saddle. Her top half has my mouth watering and things inside me shift. Seems my program is about to change. All the years of indifference to any female form all come tumbling down. My hard rule to never get involved with a student is about to be broken. With her.   Reed Sawyer is at the top of his game. The top equestrian trainer around and I’m about to pass out because he’s looking right at me. Only, he’s not my trainer. I’m tired of being under my parent’s thumb. Maybe it’s time I pushed the envelope a little. And Reed Sawyer looks like just the right wall to start pushing on.   A naïve, sheltered girl. A brooding, perfectionist with years of pent up need. The sparks fly. The walls come down. Hot lessons are learned.
Author Bio

Dani Wyatt used to feel bad about having such dirty thoughts. Luckily, one day she decided to starting writing them down. Her uber alpha heros have a wicked possessive streak and an insatiable libido. Her heroines are intelligent, quirky and worry about having too much muffin top. With her books, you can count on a heaping helping of HOT and always a happily ever after.
When she’s not writing (which is not often) she is probably laughing about some irony (like A-1 Steak Sauce is vegan), riding her horse, wondering why The Walking Dead can’t have a new episode every night, or looking cross-eyed at some piece of technology sent to ruin her day.
Break Point by Rachel Blaufeld

Juliette Smith, star tennis player, is starting over at a new university. Traumatized by hazing at her last school, all she wants is to attend classes, win tennis matches, and be left the hell alone.   She should have known her coach, Drew King, would be a problem from the moment he flexed his sexy-as-hell forearms.   What happens when you mix a pissed-off woman with a bunch of snooty teammates and a hot coach?   A heated match, complete with team politics and a forbidden game of singles with the coach.

Something bad happened to Jules in her last school. She needed a fresh start. Coach king was able to give her that. But in the process he couldn’t keep his attraction for her in check.

I felt the chemistry between King and Jules right away. They couldn’t stay away from each other. But they knew there will be consequences if they got caught.

King and Jules got caught up in their passion and made a reckless mistake. King knew a decision needed to be made about the relationship. And he made it without telling Jules.

The ending of the book was good and I needed more. I’m not happy that I have to wait until January for part 2 to find out what happens between them. I wish we would have gotten the story now.

But overall… very good.

Learning His Law by Celia Aaron
Having a crush on her demanding—and sexy—law school professor seemed inevitable for Penny. Professor Elliot was smart, hot, and intense. There was only one problem; Penny noticed that Professor Elliot never looked at her, never so much as glanced her way since he called roll on the very first day. When professor and student are thrown together, Penny will discover just how far her professor will go to make her his.

Wow… professor Elliot knew what he wanted and went after it. And I loved it!!!

Penny has been lusting after professor Elliott since the first day she walked into his class. But never thought he would feel the same way as her. Professor Elliot had been keeping his eye on Penny secretly since the first day of class. Waiting for the right time to make Penny his.

Something happens to Penny forcing the professor to move up his timeline to make Penny his.

This was a good start to my favorite tropes in books! And set the tone of what’s to come for me.

Behind The Wall by Jane Harvey-Berrick

Behind the Wall is a story of an illicit love that tries to blossom behind the bars of Nottoway Correctional Center, a level 3 security prison.   Ella Newsome quit her job teaching in public school to work in a prison. Her passion is education, but when she is challenged by felon Dane Garrett in more ways than one, she’s shaken to the core.   Can love bloom in such a harsh environment, or will Ella learn things about Garrett that she’d rather not know?

This one was super slow. It wasn’t keeping my interest. It took awhile to get to anything I could finally grab onto. This novella felt like it should have been a full length book the way it was written. Because of the pace of this book.

I didn’t feel the undying attraction between them.
Yes… Garrett thought Ella had a nice body.
And yes Ella got some tingles when Garrett walked into the classroom.
But that was it.
For a good chunk of this novella.

But… what I did feel right away. I felt like I was back in school.

Overall… I’m glad it ended the way it did.

I get asked where my ideas come from. A lot. That’s a really hard one to answer, because it’s usually a build-up of vague ideas, conversations overheard (I do like to lurk), things I’ve seen or experienced, and sometimes just that weird alchemy that is imagination.
I carry a notebook everywhere in case inspiration strikes, and I’m often jotting down notes while I walk by the ocean with my four-legged best friend.
