The side of the house stopped our retreat. He shifted so I was now facing the wall. I liked the roughness on my back, the feeling of being helpless. He groaned, this rough, almost primal sound that had my pussy becoming so wet, my nipples so hard. I opened for him, sucked his tongue into my mouth, showing him exactly where I wanted this to go. If not for the alcohol running through my veins, I wouldn’t have ever been so bold or wanton, but right now this felt like the most natural thing.

But he stepped away far too soon, and I was left feeling bereft, like a piece of me was missing. I touched my lips, the tingling and warmth that covered them reaching the very recesses of my cells.

“What’s wrong?” I asked. “You don’t want me?” My cheeks heated at the idea that maybe he didn’t, despite the vibes I got from him and the fact he’d invited me out. I also blamed the alcohol for me opening my mouth and even asking.

But Deacon had his body pressed to mine a second later. I gasped from the contact, from the feeling of his very massive, apparent erection currently digging into my belly.

“Does that feel like I don’t want you?” He thrust against me, and my mouth go slack. “Does this feel like I don’t want to take you right up against the house, not giving a shit who saw?”

I didn’t know what to say, so I just closed my mouth. He cupped my cheek, smoothing his finger along my skin and sending shock waves through me.

“Tell me if this doesn’t feel like I want you.” He continued to smooth that digit along my face, over my lip, down to my pulse, which beat erratically.

“It feels like you want me.”

He growled out low, a sound that was so feral, so delicious. “Yeah, I want you really fucking badly, Maddie, but you’ve been drinking, and I’m not going to cross that line.” He stepped back then, gave my pulse one last smooth over with his finger, and dropped his hand to his side. “But we aren’t going there. I’ll call you tomorrow, yeah?”

I nodded. Not only was he the manliest man I’d ever met, he was also a gentleman. I turned and unlocked the front door, stepped inside, and watched him. He’d waited until I was in the house before he left and went back to his SUV. I was still standing there long after he’d driven off, knowing that I’d fallen hard for Deacon, and that there was no getting up from it.

How about another taste?

Three Brutal (A Real Man, 11)

I became even more aware of Axel sitting beside me. I could see him out of the corner of my eye, his chest rising and falling just a little faster, a little harder than normal. Was this having the same effect on him as it was on me?

But I kept my focus on the TV. The couple started kissing, the woman’s moans exaggerated, erotic. And then soon they were naked, but of course we just saw the woman’s breasts. The couple started moving in a very sexual way, and I felt my face heat. I was a virgin, but I’d seen porno, knew all that went down in that category. But I was watching this with Axel, and that made me very aware of my surroundings, of how my body was reacting.

I found myself looking at Axel. His body looked hard, not in the normal, powerful way but in the way that told me he was tense. And then he turned his head and stared right at me. Our eyes locked, the heat in the room seemed to increase, and I felt beads of perspiration dotting my skin.

My body was reacting in a way only Axel could make it. My lips felt too dry, my tongue swollen. The sound of the couple having sex seemed to be amplified in the room, and although it was a cheesy movie, the sex scene something on late-night cable, I was so turned on.

I was wet, my panties damp, my body ready for Axel.

I felt my chest rising and falling, the chemistry clearly moving between us, making me think maybe he felt the same way for me. Surely friends didn’t react this way just because some sex scene was on the TV.

And when I saw Axel look down at my mouth, I found myself lowering my gaze to his lap. There, pressing against his jeans, was a massive erection. My throat tightened, every part of me tingled, and I found myself opening my mouth, about to say what I had wanted to for so long.

But the words lodged in my throat.

Is this really happening? Is this a moment between us?

The longer we stared at each other, the more the blood rushed through my veins, the pressure in my body becoming almost unbearable.

Before I said anything, Axel was up and leaving the room. I sat there, staring at the fading sex scene, hearing him in the kitchen getting something to drink.

I stood, but he was back before I could even take a step. He held a beer out to me, the bottle chilled.

“Everything okay?”

He looked tense, like he wanted to say something. Maybe this had been in my head, the chemistry I felt, the moment I thought we had shared.

“I’m good,” he said, his jaw tight. He sat on the couch again, took a long swig of the beer, and stared at the movie.

I wasn’t going to wait, wasn’t going to let my fear override this. I had to start living for today, for the future.

One more taste?

Four Kilt Me (A Real Man, 12)

It had been a long time since I’d been with a woman—years, in fact—and never had I felt this kind of possessiveness and need for a female. I wanted Molly like a fiend. I needed her like I needed tae breathe.

And as fast as this all seemed tae be happening, I couldn’t have slowed things down if I even wanted tae.

I was so fooking hard, stiff as a lead pipe. I should have jerked off in the shower, but I kne’ it wouldn’t have helped. But even knowing that, I reached down and palmed myself. Of course I couldn’t help but picture Moly and what I wanted tae do tae her.

Her glorious naked body on my bed—or hell, bent over a desk. Yeah, I could see her ready and willing for me, primed and soaked. I went back to picturing her on my bed, her legs spread, her pussy on display. Her fire-colored hair would spill over my pillow. She’d smell like me.

She’d watch me quietly, waiting for me to tell her what to do. We’d both want it though. And that’s when I’d tell her to spread those pretty pussy lips for me.

And she’d do so instantly.

I closed my eyes and really put myself in the fantasy. I groaned as I felt pleasure shoot up my spine.

Say you’re mine, lass.”

“I’m yours, Alastair.” Her flesh, so pink and wet, glistened under the dim lighting. She was so fooking ready for me. Only me. Her back was arched, and her breasts were thrust forward, the tips pink, hard. They begged for my mouth, for me to taste them, run my teeth and tongue along the stiff peaks.

But I couldn’t move. “Touch yourself for me, Molly lass.”

She obeyed so nicely as she brought one of her hands to her mouth and rubbed her fingers along the seam of her lips. Slowly, while still watching me, she sucked on one, then two fingers, mimicking the act of giving me head. In and out she moved the digits between her full, red lips.

When she removed them, a resounding pop filled the room and caused my cock tae jerk violently. She moved her fingers down tae her pussy, and I held my breath.

I watched as she played with her clit, rubbing the bud between the digits and making these little sounds in her throat. She was beautiful, and I’d be claiming that pussy like no other had before.

A harsh groan left me when she slid her fingers down her clit, circled her pussy hole, and then shoved them deep inside. I held my breath as she pumped the digits in and out. Seconds of torturous pleasure washed through me as I watched her.

Her high moan filled the room.

I couldn’t take it anymore. I all but tore off my clothes and went to her. She pulled her fingers out of her pussy and presented them to me. I greedily sucked those glistening digits intae my mouth, tasting her, getting drunk off the flavor on my tongue.

I let out a harsh sound as I came in my hand, my seed coating my fingers, my pleasure so fooking high I’d never touch the ground again. I opened my eyes, breathing out harshly, so damn needy for her even after I spent myself, that I kne’ being with Molly would be better than anything I’d ever experienced.

And I was done waiting.

A LITTLE TOO LATE by Staci Hart Release Blitz

LITTLE LATE BANNER RB2.jpg

A Little Too Late, an all-new romantic standalone from Staci Hart is LIVE!

ALTL-wrap

A Little Too Late by Staci Hart

Publishing Date: October 24th, 2017

Genre: Contemporary Romance

I wasn’t supposed to fall in love with the nanny.

When my wife left, she took the illusion of happiness with her, and I’ve been caught in a free fall ever since. For nine long months, I’ve been fighting to figure out how to be a single dad, how to be alone.

For nine long months, I’ve been failing.

When Hannah walked through the door, I took my first breath since I’d found myself on my own. She slipped into our lives effortlessly, showing me what I’ve been missing all these years. Because Hannah made me smile when I thought I’d packed the notion of happiness away with my wedding album.

She was only supposed to be the nanny, but she’s so much more.

The day my wife left should have been the worst day of my life, but it wasn’t. It was when Hannah walked away, taking my heart with her.

FullSizeRender-13

This is my second Staci Hart book. And I have to say I’m hooked! I absolutely loved this book. I love her writing and I love how she tells a story. I couldn’t put this book down. I felt everything these characters were going through. Every emotion and all their up’s and downs.

The beginning of this book has me laughing! Everything that could happen did happen to poor Charlie in the beginning of this book! Man… as a parent of 3. I know all to well how it is when your kids totally go crazy for small amount of time! lol

The total destruction little ones can do in such a short period of time… is truly amazing!! When Charlie saw Hannah she was the ray of sunshine he needed in his life. She made everything look so effortless. She helped and guided him to be the father he wanted to be. But never thought he could be.

“The first time I saw Charlie Parker, I didn’t see one thing at a time; I saw all of him. It was an assault on my senses, an overwhelming tide of awareness, and for a moment, the details came to me in flashes over what was probably only a few seconds but felt so much longer.”

I loved how everything unfolded between them. It was slow and I felt it all happened naturally. Charlie was a broken man. He needed lots of time to work things out. He was still dealing a lot with his ex. His emotions were all over the place. Hannah I felt was able to bring another side out of Charlie. She lifted him up to a point that he was able to see past all he hurt he was going through.

I can’t really say Charlie did anything for Hannah during his time of trying to get past things. He took what Hannah gave him and ran with it. Hannah I felt gave it her all and got hurt because of Charlie’s unfinished business with his ex. But I feel he made things up to her towards the end of this book.
I loved the ending!

I really enjoyed this book and I can’t wait to read other books by this author!

About the Author

Staci has been a lot of things up to this point in her life — a graphic designer, an entrepreneur, a seamstress, a clothing and handbag designer, a waitress. Can’t forget that. She’s also been a mom, with three little girls who are sure to grow up to break a number of hearts. She’s been a wife, though she’s certainly not the cleanest, or the best cook. She’s also super, duper fun at a party, especially if she’s been drinking whiskey.

From roots in Houston to a seven year stint in Southern California, Staci and her family ended up settling somewhere in between and equally north, in Denver. They are new enough that snow is still magical. When she’s not writing, she’s reading, sleeping, gaming, or designing graphics.

Inked Hearts by Lindsay Detwiler RELEASE BLITZ

Title: Inked Hearts
Series: Lines in the Sand #1
Author: Lindsay Detwiler
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Release Date: October 21, 2017
Blurb
“Six years, a
complex about my freckles, a love for pastrami, and a fear of failure.
That’s what he
gave me before slaughtering my heart and my faith in men.”
Suffering from the
sting of betrayal, twenty-eight-year-old Avery Johannas quits her job and moves
hundreds of miles away to Ocean City, the beach town of her dreams. With the
help of her zany roommate, Jodie, Avery finds a new career, home, and freedom.
Throughout her self-exploration, she makes only one rule: She won’t give her
heart to a man again. She’s living for herself this time.
But then she meets Jesse.
A tattoo shop owner,
the green-eyed Jesse Pearce is wild with a touch of mystery. As Jesse and Avery
explore Ocean City and their friendship, they’ll have a hard time drawing a
line in the sand between their hearts.
When summer nights
get a little more heated than either expected, they’ll have to ask
themselves: Can they let go of their notions of love, or will their
hearts be permanently inked by past pain?
FullSizeRender-12

This book was an ok read for me. It was a fast read. It flowed good. But it was missing something for me. It was missing the heat from the main characters. I wanted to feel the sexual attraction between them. And as I read on… I kept waiting for something to happen. in my opinion it never really came. The drama in this book just seemed like it wasn’t enough. This book had a wholesome feel to it. That’s not bad. But just something I’m not use to.

I would put this book in the clean category. There is sex in this book. But… it’s not described. You just know that it happened. Jesse is this tattooed good looking guy. But, he seemed more sweet than bad boy. Like he was saving himself.
I needed a little heat. Maybe some PG-13 or some R rated stuff. This book was straight PG.
It was nice. But I just need a little more.
These characters were in their late 20’s. But at times I felt they acted older.

The big turn off for me in this book is how Avery was constantly thinking about her ex. I mean… just when you think we’ve moved on from him. He pops right back up with Avery. The internal dialogue was killing me with Avery. Constantly comparing everything. And just overall thinking about what could’ve been. It was getting old with me.
I wasn’t feeling all the angst towards the end of the book. I thought it was just so late in the book for all that.

I loved all the secondary characters. They were funny. And I felt is what saved the book for me. They had me laughing. They really accepted Avery in their little circle. And helped her get through it all. And I loved that!

I’m not sure who the next book in this series is going to be about. But I have a feeling. And I would definitely want to her her book.

Excerpt
There’s some soft rock music playing when I open the door to
Jesse’s apartment. The distinct smell of teriyaki sauce permeates the room,
dancing in my nose as soon as I walk through the door.
“Hey. That looks amazing on you,” he says. He’s wearing
black jeans and a button-up shirt. He’s gelled his hair, and hints of his
cologne permeate the room.
“Thanks. I love this. You didn’t have to do it.”
“I like to treat my artists well.”
“So you do this for all of them?” I ask, setting down my bag
on the counter.
“Only the good ones.”
He leans in to kiss me, and I realize how natural this has
become. It hasn’t taken long for us to settle into couple status. In
retrospect, it seems now like it was always coming. It seems unnatural for us
not to be like this—comfortable, kissing, and together.
I’m so glad that for once in my life, I broke my own rules.
Jesse leads me to his kitchen table, which is adorned with a
dozen pink roses. I smile, gently touching the petals of one.
“This is beautiful. Thank you.”
“Have a seat. Dinner is ready.” Jesse brings out a few
casserole dishes with rice, teriyaki chicken and vegetables, and even some egg
rolls.
“Did you make all this?” I ask coyly, pretending to be
impressed.
“Yeah, it was sort of rough because I’m not that great at
cooking.”
He stares for a moment as he sets the dishes down. I can
tell he’s trying to see if I believe him.
I look directly from him to the top of the refrigerator, at
a large take-out bag with a familiar Chinese restaurant’s name. I raise an
eyebrow.
“That’s an old bag,” Jesse says, waving a hand but smirking.
“Yeah, okay. I just have a feeling this is going to taste
just like it.”
“Only because I worked so hard to get the secret recipe.”
I dig into the dishes, serving myself, laughing at the
trouble he went through. “You know, you didn’t have to dirty dishes on my
account. I would’ve been fine with takeout. I’m not a food snob.”
“That’s a good thing, because I’m not much of a cook.”
“Oh, and I am,” I say, referring to the pasta debacle.
“What a pair, huh?”
I shrug. “Could be worse.”
“I’ll drink to that,” he says, holding up his bottle of
beer. We clink bottles as we finish eating. To an outsider, I’m sure it looks
ridiculous. My fancy dress and necklace, sitting at a table eating take-out
Chinese food.
To me, though, it’s perfect. The man I’ve fallen for sitting
beside me, Chinese food, and a comfort I haven’t had with anyone else.
As much of a mystery as Jesse Pearce was a few months ago,
he’s become as familiar as my new self.
I like this new Avery. I like Jesse’s Avery. I like the
Jesse and Avery we are together.
So when we finish eating and he gives me the look I’ve come
to recognize, I lean forward, kissing him with a fervor I’ve reserved for this
moment, telling him wordlessly that I’m all his.
As he leads me back to the bedroom and hastily unzips the
dress he painstakingly picked out for me, I smile.
For a long time, I didn’t think I wanted to belong to any
man. For a long time, I thought this part of myself was shut down.
But as Jesse’s hands travel down to the familiar hot-pink
underwear I’m wearing, I feel myself let go of all of those ideas I had before.
I’ve come to realize it’s okay to be his, because Jesse
doesn’t hold me back. He makes me who I want to be. He makes me the best
version of myself.
Loving him might be a risk, and losing myself completely to
him tonight might be my undoing. Letting him go, though, is not an option, not
when he tosses me back on the bed, and I feel every part of my being succumb to
the tattooed hunk moving perfectly on top of me.
And so, after a night of learning what adult sleepovers are
actually all about and mastering the sex-hair look, I let go of my rule.
I’m all in. I’m all his.
Author Bio
An English teacher, an author, and a fan of anything pink
and/or glittery, Lindsay’s the English teacher cliché; she loves cats, reading,
Shakespeare, and Poe.
She currently lives in her hometown with her husband, Chad (her junior high
sweetheart); their cats, Arya, Amelia, Alice, Marjorie, and Bob; and their
mastiff, Henry.

Lindsay’s goal with her writing is to show the power of love and the beauty of
life while also instilling a true sense of realism in her work. Some reviewers
have noted that her books are not the “typical romance.” With her novels coming
from a place of honesty, Lindsay examines the difficult questions, looks at the
tough emotions, and paints the pictures that are sometimes difficult to look
at. She wants her fiction to resonate with readers as realistic, poetic, and
powerful. Lindsay wants women readers to be able to say, “I see myself in that
novel.” She wants to speak to the modern woman’s experience while also bringing
a twist of something new and exciting. Her aim is for readers to say, “That
could happen,” or “I feel like the characters are real.” That’s how she knows
she’s done her job.

Lindsay’s hope is that by becoming a published author, she can inspire some of
her students and other aspiring writers to pursue their own passions. She wants
them to see that any dream can be attained and publishing a novel isn’t out of
the realm of possibility.

RELEASE DAY BLITZ & BOOK REVIEW: Cuffed by K. Bromberg

From the New York Times bestselling author, K. Bromberg, comes a new series about three brothers, the job that calls them, and the women who challenge them.

“I hate you. I never want to see you again.”

Grant Malone is not the reason I moved back to Sunnyville—at least that’s what I tell myself. Yet, those parting words I said to him back in third grade, ring in my ears every time a townsperson brings up one of the Malone boys. I thought time had healed my wounds. I was wrong. Nothing could have prepared me for how I felt when I finally saw him again.

Twenty years does a lot to turn a boy into a man. One who hits all my buttons—sexy, funny, attractive, and a police officer. But Grant is off limits because he knows too much about my past.

But I’m drawn to him. That damn uniform of his doesn’t hurt either. It’ll be my downfall. I know it.
What’s one night of sex going to hurt . . . right?
***

I’ve always loved Emmy Reeves.

That’s why I’m shocked to see her all these years later. The shy girl I once knew is all grown up.

Adventurous and full of life, she owns my heart now, just as much as she did back then. Convincing her of that is a whole different story.

I’ll give her the one night she asks for—like that’s a hardship—but when it comes to letting her walk away after, she has another thing coming. There’s no way in hell I’m letting her go this time without a fight.

Melanie’s 4-Star Review:

K. Bromberg’s Cuffed is a great read which took me on an unexpected emotional roller coaster. It’s a wonderful love story of two childhood best friends reunited after being separated due to tragic reasons. I was sucked right into Grant Malone’s charm and protective nature and I was utterly in awe of Emerson’s strength and resiliency.

I am going to be honest, based solely on the book cover, I never thought that the plot line it contained was what it would be. I expected a super sexy, light hearted read only to be blasted with the very opposite. Don’t get me wrong, there were lots of sexy with Grant and Emmy but the best parts about this entire book was the emotional journey that Ms. Bromberg set for her readers to take. I mean, I should have known that there would be more than what meets the eye. That’s what I love most about her writing—the substance that she intertwines with all the swoon and steam that we all expect and love about reading contemporary romances. Cuffed addresses such a heavy topic, a trigger for some, and definitely something that all of us would move mountains to eradicate. No one should have to endure what Emmy had to. I cried and I heaved and I got mad. There were a myriad of emotions that came along as the pages began to wane. Again, such a surprising twist to what I had thought coming into this. I loved that!

With its outstanding characters and profound story line, Cuffed will definitely have you at the edge of your seat. A must read that is anything like what you’d believe based solely by judging it by its cover.

None of that matters the day I walk into her classroom.

Or her bedroom.

What’s more important than my grade?

Not failing her.

About the Author

Leslie McAdam is a California girl who loves romance, Little Dude, and well-defined abs. She lives in a drafty old farmhouse on a small orange tree farm in Southern California with her husband and two small children. Leslie always encourages her kids to be themselves – even if it means letting her daughter wear leopard print from head to toe. An avid reader from a young age, she will always trade watching TV for reading a book, unless it’s Top Gear. Or football. Leslie is employed by day but spends her nights writing about the men you fantasize about. She’s unapologetically sarcastic and notoriously terrible at comma placement (that’s what editors are for!). Always up for a laugh, Leslie tries to see humor in all things. When she’s not in the writing cave you’ll find her fangirling over Beck, camping with her family, or mixing up oil paints to depict her love of outdoors on canvas.

Excerpt:

Hannah

The first time I saw Charlie Parker, I didn’t see one thing at a time; I saw all of him. It was an assault on my senses, an overwhelming tide of awareness, and for a moment, the details came to me in flashes over what was probably only a few seconds but felt so much longer.

His hair was blond and gently mussed, his face long and nose elegant. I could smell him, clean and fresh with just a touch of spice I couldn’t place. I tipped my chin up—he was tall, taller than me, and I hovered just at six feet—and met his eyes, earthy and brown and so deep. So very deep.

And then he smiled.

He was handsome when he wasn’t smiling. He was stunning when he was.

I was so lost in that smile, I didn’t register the flying gob until it whapped against my sweater. Tiny splatters of something cold speckled my neck.

This was the moment the clock started again, and the sweet serenity slipped directly into chaos.

A blond little boy looked up at me from his father’s side with a devilish gleam in his dark eyes. The spoon in his hand was covered in blood-red jam and aimed at me like an empty catapult.

Several things happened at once. Charlie’s face morphed into embarrassed frustration as he reached for who I presumed to be his son. The boy—Sam, I guessed from the names I’d been given by the agency—spun around lightning fast and took off down the hallway, giggling. Another child began to cry from somewhere back in the house, and a bowl clattered to the ground, followed by a hissed swear from what sounded like an older woman.

I glanced down at the sliding, sticky mess against my white sweater and started to laugh.

Charlie’s head swiveled back to me, his face first colored with confusion, then in horror as he looked at the Pollock painting on my sweater.

“Oh my God,” he breathed, his apologetic, wide eyes dragging down my body. “Jesus, I am so sorry.”

I was still laughing, almost a little hysterical. I couldn’t even tell you why.

I waved a hand at Charlie, and he took my elbow, guiding me into the house as I caught my breath. Another crash came from the kitchen, and a little girl came toddling out into the entry, leaving powdery footprints on the hardwood.

Charlie’s face screwed up. “Sam!” he called, stretching the word, a drawn-out promise of consequences.

A riot of giggling broke out in the kitchen.

We both snapped into motion. I followed him as he scooped up his crying daughter and stormed toward the kitchen. The little girl watched me over his shoulder with big brown eyes, her breath hitching in little shudders and her small finger hooked in her mouth.

Charlie stopped so abruptly, I almost ran into him.

When I looked around him and into the kitchen, my mouth opened. I covered it with my fingers as laughter bubbled up my throat.

A bag of flour sat in the middle of the floor, the white powder thrown in bursts against the surrounding surfaces and hanging in the air like smoke. The floor next to the bag was the only clean spot, shaped like a small bottom—the little girl’s, I supposed. A bowl lay upside down, its contents oozing from under the rim and slung in a ring from ceiling to cabinet to floor, as if it had completed a masterful flip on its way to its demise. And in the center of the madness stood an older woman with flour in her dark hair and dusted down the front of her. Clutched under her arm was a wriggling Sam, offending spoon still in hand.

Her face was kind but tight with exasperation. “Please tell me this is the new nanny,” she said flatly.

“I doubt we could convince her to stay at this point,” he said with equal flatness.

The Quarterback by Mackenzie Blair Review

The Quarterback

35501577

Matt Lancaster is the star quarterback at Bodine College, a small Southern Division II school with an ultra-conservative Dean of Athletics. Matt is also very much in the closet, and he thinks he’s kept his secret well hidden. Until his best friends take him to a happy endings massage parlor and request a male masseuse for him.

In walks Trevor Kim, a gorgeous, pierced, tattooed fellow Bodine student who does massages—without happy endings—to pay for school after his family kicked him out for being gay. Trevor takes one look at Matt and breaks all his own rules about mixing business with pleasure.

Matt needs to keep his scholarship, win the National Championship, and survive his asshole father. Instead, he falls in love. Trevor needs to accept that the football god is meant to end up with him rather than a perky cheerleader. It’s time for a happy ever after for both of them.

I really enjoyed this book. It took off for me right from the beginning. It never slowed down. I had all the feels of a new relationship while reading this book! And I loved that! This book was kinda funny! The things they would say to each other. From the friends to the main characters! They had me busting out laughing! I could so picture guys saying the things they would say! lol

I really enjoyed the main characters. Matt & Trevor had this undeniably attraction towards each other. They’ve had this crush on each other since freshmen year of college. But never doing or saying anything to each other about it. They never even saw each other after that year.
Until one day Matt walks into Trevor’s job. And just from that one encounter. Matt knew he couldn’t stay away.
Now this is where I felt Matt really started to step out of his closet. (Because he was so far in there!!) He needed to make the first move and get things started. And he did. Trevor I felt was the prefect guy for Matt. He was really understanding. He took things incredibly slow for Matt. He really wanted to show Matt how good things could feel.

I loved that. The pace of how things unfolded. it all felt so real. The sex in this book was just so damn good! I loved how Matt went all in for everything.

Matt had a very complicated life. I really felt for him. He had so much pressure on him. He had it from his football team, his father and at times from Trevor. But to be fare. Trevor had to become something he told himself he would never become once he came out of the closet.
Trevor too felt the pressure of Matt’s secret. Alway watching what he said. Making sure everything looked ok when they were together. That alone takes a lot out of a person. And takes a toll on them too.

Both had crappy families. Trevor’s family was horrible. I really felt for him. Thanksgiving broke my heart. I just wanted to give him a big hug. And Matt’s dad was something else. Matt’s dad put him through years of hell. He deserved what he go in the end.

I absolutely loved the ending. They’ve come a long way and endured so much. It was a nice ending.
This was a nice surprise. I’m so glad I read this book. I hope we get more from all the secondary characters! Because I just loved them in this book! Or maybe more on Matt & Trevor!?

Mackenzie grew up in the South but fled the humidity for earthquakes, university, and a brief stint in finance. As a cynical idealist, she prefers to write happy endings whenever possible.
