This is the first book that I’ve read from this author.
Oh wow…
This book.. It had me from the 1st page. I could not put it down. I don’t know what I was expecting when I started to read this book… It really took me by surprise. A good surprise.

This book is about 3 friend that share an incredible bond.

2 best friends growing up together Remy & Carter. They join the Army. In the Army they meet Avery. She too was in the Army. Right from he start Carter steps up & claims Avery as his. Avery & Carter start a relationship. Remy keeps quite & becomes best friend with Avery too.
The 3 of them have been this way for 10 yrs.

Ok… This book was just spot for me. I just loved how the author builds up the characters that you feel like you know them & you just feel their emotions.

Right from the start Avery & Carters love comes through. You know how much they love each other.
You also feel kind of bad for Remy. Cause you know he’s keeping a secret from his best friend & the person he loves.
But… He kept it all in. He wanted the 2 people most important in his life to be happy. I loved that about Remy!

Ok.. Now the very utterly sad part of this book…

I’m not giving anything away when I say Carter dies. I’m not going to tell you how he dies. Obviously, it says in the synopsis he died in combat.
I knew it was coming. I could feel it… But…it still caught me off guard. I was soooo sad! I think what made it even sadder for me was how Remy was holding on to Carter & talking to him…
Ughhh.. Tears in my eyes!!!
(I’m still trying not to cry!! I had to put my kindle down…& take a breath.
At this point… We haven’t even gotten to Avery!…
Once she found out Carter died… I was crying like a baby!!!

Both Remy & Avery leaned on each other to get through that horrible times in their life.

For Avery she was grieving her other half & for Remy… He was grieving his best friend… But also too.. He was dealing with his overwhelming feelings for Avery.

I loved the pace of the book. I felt everything happened at the right and appropriate times.

There was only one part of this book I didn’t care for & it was Avery’s boss Liam.
I really wasn’t feeling Liam’s part in this book. It almost felt like it was thrown in.. Especially, at the end. Liam’s whole part just felt weird to me.

But other than that.. This book was really fantastic.
I laughed… I cried…. I loved it!!

Would I read more books by this author….
Yes!! I would!!!

Chapter Eleven
Forever Addicted
I tumble out of bed and drag myself out of my
bedroom and into the hallway. When I push open the bathroom door, my eyes widen
at what I’ve stumbled upon. Claire is standing next to the toilet, holding her
new cell phone over the toilet bowl. Her lips are pressed together in a hard
line across her delicate face.
“What the fuck?” is the first thing that slips
out of my mouth.
“I don’t want this thing anymore.”
“Please don’t drop it in the toilet.”
“What is the point of having a cell phone if you
never answer it?”
Oh, shit. She’s had
this phone two months and it’s turned her into a crazy person. I don’t dare say
this out loud, but I’m beginning to wish I’d gotten her something else for her
If I don’t call her back within a few minutes,
she accuses me of playing games. If she doesn’t call me back right away, it’s
because she was busy. I don’t think she even realizes how insane this sounds.
“What do you want me to do? Just tell me what
you want and I’ll do it.” I inch closer to her and she smiles when she realizes
she has my attention. “You want me to promise I’ll never wait more than five
minutes to call you back? Would that make you happy?”
She loses the smile and purses her lips. “This
phone has turned me into an addict. I look at it every two minutes to check for
missed calls and texts from you. It’s sick!”
I reach for her wrist and slowly move my hand
down until the phone is in my hand. I place it gently on the bathroom counter,
then I look her in the eyes.
“Babe, you’re not addicted to your phone. You’re
addicted to me.”
“Shut up!” she smacks my chest and I try not to
laugh too loud.
I wrap my arms around her waist and pull her
against me. She’s breathing hard as my lips hover over hers. “Don’t you have to
get ready for school?”
“It’s a late day. I don’t have to be at school
for two and a half hours.”
I smile. It actually makes me happy that I can’t
remember what day is a late day anymore since I quit school. The only regret I
have about quitting school is that Claire is alone now. With Jake and Rachel
graduated, and Tristan hanging out with his new girlfriend, Ashley, Claire says
she spends most of her time outside of class reading.
“Good, ‘cause I have plans for you…. I gonna
text you for two hours straight.”
“You’re such a jerk!”
She tries to push me away and I lean in to kiss
her. At first she closes her mouth, but she laughs when I plant a loud kiss on
her cheek. And I seize the opportunity to kiss her hard.
Seconds later, we’re lying on my bed, the sheets
bunched up beneath her and my hand easing down her waist to her hip. She grabs
my hand to stop me and I smile as I move my hand up. I trail my lips over her
smooth jaw and plant a soft kiss on her neck. I hear a sniffing noise and I
quickly pull my head back, afraid she’s crying.
“Oh, my God. You smell so good,” she says,
leaning forward so she can sniff my shoulder.
She grabs fistfuls of my T-shirt and brings them
to her nose as she inhales. “Yes! Is that some kind of cologne or something?”
“No, it’s laundry soap and you use the same one.”
“No, it has to be something else.”
I reach up and lightly drag my fingertip across
her jawline. “Yeah, it’s laundry soap and my pheromones, which you obviously
can’t get enough of. Addict.”
“Shut up.”
“What? There’s nothing wrong with that. I can’t
get enough of your scent either.” I bury my face in the crook of her neck and
she lets out a soft gasp when I lick her skin. “You smell sweet and salty at
the same time, like raspberries with a hint of the beach. It’s fucking
“Really?” she breathes. “That’s what I smell
like to you?”
I nuzzle my nose against the sensitive spot
behind her ear and she giggles softly. “See what you do to me? I can’t get
enough of you.”
I kiss her neck and her skin is so soft, I want
to devour her. But I respect her boundaries. So minutes later, we’re on my bike
on the way to drop her off at school.  As
usual, she plants a kiss on the front of my helmet, leaving a kiss mark on the
glass. Then she bats my hand away when I try to grab her ass as she walks away.
Something about this feels too perfect. I keep
waiting for my mom to tell me that Claire’s being moved to another foster home.
Or that my mom will find out about us and Claire’s caseworker will have her
removed from our home.
Something bad is coming. It could be next week or next year. All I
know is that this can’t continue the way it has. It’s too perfect. Nothing in
my life has ever been this good or easy.
OURS will be on sale for 99¢ on May 27th and 28th. After
that, the price will go back to regular price of $2.99

The Raven by Sylvain Reynard Cover Reveal!!!

Release Date: Early 2015

Book Blurb:

From the New York Times bestselling author of the Gabriel Series comes a dark, sensual tale of romance in a city shrouded in mystery…

Raven Wood spends her days at Florence’s Uffizi Gallery restoring fine works of Renaissance art. But an innocent walk home after an evening with friends changes her life forever. When she intervenes in the senseless beating of a homeless man, his attackers turn on her, dragging her into an alley. Raven is only semi-conscious when their assault is interrupted by a cacophony of growls followed by her attacker’s

screams. Mercifully, she blacks out, but not before catching a glimpse of a shadowy figure who whispers to her…

Cassita vulneratus.

When Raven awakes, she is inexplicably changed. She returns to the Uffizi, but no one recognizes her and more disturbingly, she discovers that she’s been absent an entire week. With no recollection of the events leading up to her disappearance, Raven also learns that her absence coincides with one of the largest robberies in Uffizi history – the theft of a set of priceless Botticelli illustrations. When the baffled police force identifies her as its prime suspect, Raven is desperate to clear her name. She seeks out one of Florence’s wealthiest and elusive men in an attempt to uncover the truth about her disappearance. Their encounter leads Raven to a dark underworld whose inhabitants kill to keep their secrets…

Author’s Bio:

I’m interested in the way literature can help us explore aspects of the human condition – particularly suffering, sex, love, faith, and redemption. My favourite stories are those in which a character takes a journey, either a physical journey to a new and exciting place, or a personal journey in which he or she learns something about himself/herself.

I’m also interested in how aesthetic elements such as art, architecture, and music can be used to tell a story or to illuminate the traits of a particular character. In my writing, I combine all of these elements with the themes of redemption, forgiveness, and the transformative power of goodness.

I try to use my platform as an author to raise awareness about the following charities: Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep Foundation, WorldVision, Alex’s Lemonade Stand, and Covenant House. For more information, see my Twitter account.

His Reverie Teaser

I jump at the sound of a soft female voice, my hand jerking so the hose splashes me right in the face. Muttering a curse, I drop the hose and reach out blindly, wrenching the faucet off with one hand as I swipe at my eyes with the back of the other. I hear the girl laugh and I whirl around, fully prepared to find some bratty preteen Hale daughter mocking me.

But she’s not a preteen. Not even close. More like around my age. She’s tall and slender, her long blonde hair falling far past bared tan shoulders. She’s wearing some sort of sundress or whatever you call it and she’s pretty much covered since it hits just above her knees, though her arms are exposed since the dress is sleeveless. The sun catches her just right though, shining through the thin fabric of her skirt so I can see through it.

My gaze drops and all I can see is long, long legs through the shadowy fabric. Damn. Those sexy legs are endless. She clears her throat, like she knows exactly where I’m looking and what I’m thinking and I jerk my gaze up guiltily to meet hers, feeling like a jackass.

That’s when I notice her eyes are blue. As blue as the sky above us, and she’s so damn pretty, with delicate features and pink, pink lips, that I can’t seem to form words.

“Who are you?” she asks curiously. Her voice washes over me, sweet and melodic and now it’s my turn to clear my throat to get the lump out so I can freaking speak.

“Who are you?” I ask back like an idiot.

She smiles shyly and my entire body reacts, a bolt of electricity seeming to go through me. “I asked first.”

“Are you Hale’s daughter?” If she is, that sucks because holy hell she’s hot but yeah.

She’s completely untouchable if she’s a Hale.

“What if I am?” She kicks at the ground with her sandaled foot, her cheeks coloring the faintest pink. Innocence radiates from her. She looks like a damn angel and seems a little uncomfortable with me.

Despite her seeming discomfort, I think she might be trying to flirt with me.

“Well, I’d make sure and be extra polite to you since I work for your dad.” I go with the truth because I don’t want any problems from this girl. I probably shouldn’t even be alone with her. She could say anything, accuse me of something terrible and I’d have no defense. Her word against mine.

And her word would win every single time.

Another laugh escapes her and she slowly shakes her head. “I like your honesty.”

I like everything about her so far but I keep my lips clamped shut. I’ve already said enough to make myself look like a total loser.“So I’m guessing you’re definitely Hale’s daughter?”
