I’m so glad I came across this series. It truly was hitting the jackpot! Not only do I love it….
But this series has brought a bunch of new characters into my life!
That now I just can’t live without!

Tad and Scott story had everything that I love in a m/m book. And their story continues to blow me away!

Book 5 Bringing It Home proved that when you want something so bad it is worth fighting for.
Tad and Scott were in a good place. Not playing games. They both knew where each other stood.

So going into book 6… I could not wait to see where the author was going to take us.
And boy did she take us places!
I’ll never think of playing Pool the same way again! LOL

I loved how Tad went all in with Scott. He showed and proved to him that he was all in. And I loved how Scott was really appreciative of Tad for doing it.
(Something naughty happened!…lol)
I think Scott really needed that conformation from him. To let him know that he was not the only me to put himself out there.

And of course the two of them were so hot together! I loved reading every part of them being together!

The only thing that I wish there was more of….
is Tad being more dominant with Scott. I loved & I mean loved what Tad did to Scott in book 4. And I think Tad would like to give just as much as he gets with Scott. But Scott’s competitiveness and over all demeanor I think sometimes blocks him from letting go of the upper hand.
I guess for me… I like to see when both sides give a little.

Other than that… I loved this book and I absolutely can’t wait for More to come in this series!

“Text me?” Tad asked. “Between clients or something?” Coming to a stop in front of his Jeep, he really didn’t want to go. All that sex had made him sleepy and now he wanted to… spoon.

“Sure.” Scott smiled. “Though I’d rather call.”

Tad rested his backside against the door. “Then call. Just make sure it’s during my—” His words dropped off as Scott caged him in, hands bracing beside his head. “During my, um, lunch break. Don’t wanna… get me fired.”

“I don’t?” Scott murmured, easing closer. “Kinda actually thinking I do.”

Fuck, Tad loved that look in his eyes. All feisty and possessive and… yeah. Grinning, he leaned back and shook his head. “No way. Just started my awesome new internship.”

“Intern for me. I’ll show you awesome.”

Tad laughed. “Doing what? Stocking towels?”

“How ‘bout personal assistant.”

“Ah. So back to being gofer. Not exactly sweetening the pot.”

Scott smiled and closed the gap between them. “That’s ‘cause you haven’t heard the perks.”

Tad hmm’d as soft lips settled over his and started to move like sex. The lazy kind, though— not the frenzied stuff—that people had after the storm. Because even in the afterglow, atop tangled sheets, they still needed more. Of each other.
“Screw it,” he decided. “I’m in. Why not. Who needs a stupid career.”

Scott chuckled against his lips. “So overrated.”

“Lamest frickin’ concept ever.” All joking aside, though, it was getting late. And Tad really needed to—

“Stay,” Scott murmured. “Crash here. Don’t go.”

Born and raised in the Northern Virginia, I’ve always loved to read, but it wasn’t until my preteen years that I discovered my deep-seated love for writing. Though, with published literary teachers and play writers in the family tree, that really shouldn’t have come as a surprise.
Starting with my involvement in social book forums, I then tried my hand in literary role playing. Which, in turn, led to my becoming a fervent online independent writer. Since then, I’ve endeavored to share with the world my impassioned stories of love, adventure and sensual wonderment, my most recent delight being that of m/m erotica.
Now that Afterglow is complete,  I will be continuing on with a handful of other projects, including the novel-length story spin-offs to the Up-Ending Tad series for Max & Sean and Breck & Kai, on target to be released as early as next year.

In a powerful romance for fans of The Fault in Our Stars and If I Stay, New York Timesbestselling author A. Meredith Walters tells the story of a troubled young woman and the unforgettable guy who teaches her to live—and love—to the fullest.

She’s waiting to die. . . . Corin Thompson is paralyzed by her obsession with mortality. Having lost both of her parents, she is terrified by the idea that she too will die young, and she loses control at any sign of illness. But when Corin connects with someone who has survived a very real brush with death, she begins to see the world in a whole new way.

He’s learning to live. . . . As Corin struggles under the weight of her neuroses, Beckett Kingsley is attempting to rebuild a life that feels all too temporary. With the ever-present threat of heart failure never far from his mind, he just wants to make the most of whatever time he has left. And that means pursuing the girl he never expected to find.

Together, Corin and Beckett finally learn to let go of their fears and take solace in everyday pleasures. Who knows what the future holds? After all, nothing lasts forever—the only promise they have is right now.

I absolutely love a book that just grabs you from the very first page. You just keep reading & reading not even noticing that time is flying by. And when you finally look up. You look at the time and you look to see how far you have gotten in the book and you are just shocked to see that you have been reading for how ever long you have and that you have gotten that far into the book.
I just love it.
Books like those are just so timeless.
This book did just that for me.

I did not want to put this book down! It was just so good.
I absolutely love this author!
I also love her other series Find You In The Dark.
She pretty much just hooked me from the very first page with that series!
This book just grabbed me the same way too!

She wrote these characters that are so relatable and her writing is so realistic that I could actually feel what these characters are feeling and going through.

Corin and Beckett wormed their way into my heart. I truly felt for both of them. I just fell madly for Beckett. Corin took me some time. Her personality it not the warm and fuzzy type!…lol
But… I got her. And I got use to it.

This story pulled on my heart strings. It made me happy in certain parts and broke my heart in others.
But I felt the love and commitment and dedication from both Beckett and Corin.
Two broken people piecing each other back up piece by piece. They both came into each other’s lives right in the right moment to help each other with their problems.
But I truly felt Beckett gave Corin her life back.

This was such a beautiful story. I had tears in my eyes…I was so happy with how this story ended. I was scared there for a minute! I thought this author was going to break my heart!
But… It all worked out in the end. I can’t wait for everyone to read this book!

The last time Tad saw Scott, the ripped physical trainer left him with quite a lot to think about. And that’s pretty much all Tad’s been doing for nearly two weeks straight. At his wit’s end, he seeks Scott out, voluntarily, on his own terms. Will the completely different setting offer what he’s seeking; proof that their exchange’s unexpected turn was just a random mishap? Hormones run amok and truly nothing more? Or will being in Scott’s presence suggest something different… their newest encounter tempting Tad’s resolve while testing his ultimate limits.

Wow! I will never think of a massage the same way again! LOL

This book was really good.
Scott really let himself go this time.
But… I think Tad was more conflicted than ever.
He was really fighting his feelings more than ever in this book.

I really wished he would have let go just a little in this book. Especially with the blindfolds. (Well face mask in this book) it felt a little cowardly.

The ending of this book.. I felt a little turn with Scott. He really wanted Tad to show him something.
But he didn’t… Tad just ran away from the whole situation. I felt he should have man’ed up.

Overall… This book was so hot! I”m really loving Tad and Scott and all the things they do!

I can’t wait to read the next book in this series!

Round two with Scott hadn’t been what Tad expected, but it did end up providing a few important realizations. For one, that crazy first encounter was definitely more than mere male hormones. Which meant he felt a true attraction to the guy. Something that explained his defenselessness against Scott’s smoldering charms. Seriously, the dude had cut through his fortifications like the things hadn’t even existed.
Which, yeah, was pretty unsettling.
So Tad had resolved to cope with his findings the only logical way he knew how: purge the guy from his system once and for all by staying away for good. Unfortunately, that proved way more uncomfortable than he’d anticipated. Seemed his ‘stupid infatuation’ ran considerably deeper, which made going cold-turkey one miserable chore.
So when Scott unexpectedly seeks him out, Tad’s too drained to fight his turmoil any longer. Allowing himself a much needed fix, he agrees to hang out, neither he nor Scott knowing Dom boy Max will end up part of the deal. What starts out as an unassuming evening quickly turns shockingly licentious. Question is, will Tad be able to handle it? And more importantly, what path will it send him down in his ongoing journey of discovery?

Scott’s house is the place to be!…lol

Lots of things are going on in that place! I’m an instant gratification kind of girl!
I don’t like to wait!…lol
But reading these books! Makes me want to try and hold out for a little while longer!…lol

I’m just loving Tad and Scott! I was so happy to see Tad open up even more than he ever has! And I just love how Scott is so patient with him! He knows Tad is venturing into new territory. And he’s giving him the time and space he needs to work it all out!

Max…. Scott’s roommate. I feel like something is going on there! Maybe a long time crush or maybe something more? I don’t know…. But he acts like he’s jealous of Tad.
I don’t know what to thing about him right now.

I Can’t wait to read the next book in this series to find out more about it!

With Tad’s reservations firmly on the one-eighty, he’s finally more at ease exploring this intriguing new part of himself, especially where his attraction, and affections, for Scott are concerned. But when their evening plans get cancelled, Tad winds up watching the guy in action at the gym instead. Kickboxing lessons lead to sparring, which in turn leads to a face-off more erotic than Tad could have ever imagined. With huge new boundaries crossed, both men are floored like never before. Have these milestones finally put all Tad’s hang-ups behind him?

Warning: this 30k+ story includes erotically rough physical play and graphically explicit gay sex.
Intended for mature audiences only.

Oh my god! This book was so damn good!
I loved it!

This book was all Tad! And it was everything! I loved it!

I will never think of wrestling the same way again!
Shoot…. I wish I could have seen them doing it.
It was so serious!
Tad really wanted to show Scott that he can take him seriously and show him a different side of himself.
He was so proud. And I know he shocked Scott.
Taking Scott by surprise.
(in more ways then one!)

Then… Tad with all his issues with being with Scott shows up and ruined a memorable moment between them. I felt bad for Scott.

It must be hard and exhausting for Tad. He is constantly thinking and over analyzing and fighting himself about his feelings about Scott. I think at this point he knows what he likes. It’s just trying to wrap his mind around it.

At this point…
He’s walking a fine line. Because… He could be hurting Scott’s feeling with all his indecisiveness.

It’s Friday night and Tad finds himself doing pretty much what he’d expected. Celebrating with his friends at a night club in honor of their buddy Breck’s birthday. The music’s pumping, drinks are flowing, as laughter and dancing bodies abound.

Nothing too outlandish, nothing unusual.

Until Scott and his own crew show up at the place. Funny how the one person Tad prefers above all others is the last person he wants to see. But now that he’s spotted the guy across the room, he can’t seem to take his eyes off him. Which winds up being a very bad thing. Seems Scott out in public with other attractive men is a much different story than Tad’s used to.

As one disturbing event after another unfolds, Tad splits before he loses his mind. But the breather he needs he does not get. In fact, things just go from bad to worse, the night ending on a note he never would have imagined. As things between Scott and him hit rock bottom, the only direction left must be up. If only Tad’s life would follow such a formula. But the path he’s been walking lately has never been that simple.

With a world of revelations finally revealed, can Tad find it in himself to make peace with Scott’s past so they can finally head into the future?

Wow… I absolutely loved this book!
I loved how everything unfolded.
I loved how we got more from Scott.
Because up until the last book… It was all mostly about Tad.

This book we saw a totally different side of Scott. He really opened himself up to Tad. And I loved how Tad just broke down all his barriers and fully embraced who he was.

Yes… He made some mistakes along the way. But he knew it and fixed it right away!
I loved the whole make up sex Tad and Scott did. Every time they get together… It’s just so intense.
I loved that!

In past books I was very weary of Max. I thought he had some undying love for Scott. But knowing the role he played in Scotts life in his past. I just fell in love with him!

I can’t wait to see what the last book in this series takes us!

About the Author

I write sexy, contemporary romance novels – the kind I like to read. My books Faithful and Hopeful are stand-alone novels although there are some overlapping characters. The Empire State Series of novellas starts with A Week in New York.

Ruined by romantic mini-series of the eighties, I love all things romantic. There’s not enough of it in real life so I’ll settle for books and films.

I love the rain, the West Wing, London, days when you don’t have to wear make-up, being alone, being with friends, elephants and champagne.

BOOK REVIEW: Taking What’s His by Alexa Riley

Driving a truck and hauling cargo from coast to coast can be lonely. Sly’s been looking for a pet to keep him company, and late one night on the side of the highway, he finds her.

Cameron is scared something bad is going to happen to her, but then he comes along, and she feels relieved. It isn’t until the door of his truck closes that the real fear takes root.

Sly has a new toy, and he’s having a hard time keeping his hands to himself. How long can he wait to take Cameron’s innocence? Because once he does, she’s his forever.

Warning: This book contains forced submission and dubious consent. While these themes are triggers for some, they can be sweet candy for others. If you’re willing to hold off judgement until the last page, I promise it’ll be worth it.

Alexa Riley has a specific niche and she has always managed to get the job done. If I’m in the mood for insta-anything; lust, love, smut. She’s my go to author and I’m not ashamed to admit that.

With that, I think I’m starting to need something different. In the 4th book of her Submission series, I pretty much knew exactly how it was going to end because well, all of the books in the series has pretty much started and ended the same way. For the most part, I’m OK with that because the theme and the kink that this series focuses on is the same and there would be NO way I’d be OK with it if they didn’t all end with the same revelation. But then there’s the whole, “I’m a caveman, I want this woman to breed.” It’s everywhere, it’s all the guys seem to ever want in her books and for love of me, please let’s change those scenes up a bit. I’d love some new dialogue to go along with my fantasies. I’m starting to feel like I’m pulling out the same ones from my mind; all jumbled together.

So while I may sound like I’m whining a bit, I will say, that Alexa can still get me riled up like no one can and I’m not about to stop one clicking her books because the kind of smut she writes are an even more potent aphrodisiac than any well-known food or pill out there.

About the Author:

I’m Alexa Riley! Mom, wife, and business woman by day and smut writer by night. I specialize in the Dirty Date Night reading. I wrote my first book, Owning Her Innocence, because well, I just couldn’t find any daddy books to my liking. So I sat down and just started writing, bringing the fantasies I find myself often dancing to in the dark of night to life, one page at a time.

Alexa Riley is my alter ego. I can’t let the other soccer moms know what I’m up to or the guys at work for that matter. Little do they know that they’ve got nothing on my dirty talk.

I’m here to give you a quick fix of filthy dirty smut. Got a few hours to kill? Then I’m what you’re looking for.

BOOK REVIEW: The Air He Breathes by Brittainy Cherry

I was warned about Tristan Cole.

“Stay away from him,” people said.
“He’s cruel.”
“He’s cold.”
“He’s damaged.”

It’s easy to judge a man because of his past. To look at Tristan and see a monster.

But I couldn’t do that. I had to accept the wreckage that lived inside of him because it also lived inside of me.

We were both empty.
We were both looking for something else. Something more.
We both wanted to put together the shattered pieces of our yesterdays.

Then perhaps we could finally remember how to breathe.

FullSizeRender (1)

It’s official. I’ve become a Brittainy Cherry fanatic and oh, with such great reason. Every single book I’ve picked up from this author have blown me away; all of which have had such different feelings associated with each story line but in the end have all given me what I chase after when reading books—a high so powerful I know that I’ve just journeyed through something incredible. That’s the magic that this author weaves. Taking different characters with their intrinsic and unique stories thereby giving us all something new to hyperventilate about.

Her latest release and #1 best seller, The Air He Breathes is no exception. She has once again taken my breath away. This book had it all! Seriously, it just touched on every possible emotion imaginable. She had me hiccupping, fighting through tears from just the first few pages and I knew, I just knew that I was in for something great. Tristan and Elizabeth and Emma – these were the trio of something great. Their story was even greater than I had anticipated. Who knew that something so incomprehensibly tragic could turn into something so inexplicably beautiful?

Tristan’s character was so well developed. The town’s recluse and a-hole who was actually much more than his bearded face and bare feet. The amount of loss he’d experienced in life was heart shattering. I cannot for even one nanosecond imagine the kind of emotional turmoil he felt and how in God’s name one would begin to accept it and move on from it. My heart ached for every memory that he’d recall and I grieved the fact that he’d only have those memories to hold on to for every day he took a breath. There was something so special about seeing his character grow and move towards the Tristan Cole he eventually becomes and everything of what he becomes has to do with Elizabeth. Oh, how Brittainy managed to create two broken, lost souls in her hero and heroine in this book, I’d never know. Inspiration from Shakespeare’s great tragedies perhaps? Like Tristan, Elizabeth suffers from immeasurable loss as well but what holds her together is her rambunctious, beautiful little girl Emma. What I loved so much about Elizabeth’s character was how much she adored and loved Emma. She was a wonderful mother and one line in the book had me pumping my fist up in the air; a sign of victory and praise for the kind of woman she was—“ She needs me. I snuggled in closer to her, kissed her forehead, and promised myself I wouldn’t fall apart anymore.” That right there, proved her strength and her courage and her selflessness. I wanted to cling to those very words hoping that if I’d ever one day come to the same point in my life, that I’d be able to pull myself back together for the sole purpose of living life for my child.

The progression of Tristan and Elizabeth’s relationship came with such varying emotions. I felt the very moment that they were able to look beyond their pasts. A tide of realization knocking the air out of their lungs from the startling sentiment of actually being able to move beyond the past and the ghosts that come alongside it. I was helpless to fall under the spell as both Tristan and Elizabeth navigated their way around the present. The fierceness behind the intimacy their shared had my own body responding, needing reprieve from the rawness of their desperation. Their need for one another so apparent that you too will find yourself falling in love. Every word uttered, every inhale taken, and every exhale released I’d understood. These feelings are what book lovers like myself long for and it’s what we chase after. It’s what Brittainy Cherry gave me in this book. It rocked my world as this author has done every single time I’ve picked up any of her published works.

The Air He Breathes is not only poignantly told but it encompassed every known emotion known to man. I cried through their heartache, I sighed and blushed through every romantic and swoon worthy moments, I laughed out loud when Elizabeth’s BFF Faye was in the mix, I wanted to reach out and ask Emma for one of her Eskimo kisses, I felt hopeful in every single minute I read this book. The message in their story is clear; we breathe for the people we love and in times of the worst possible despair, we forget to take those breaths. The air which we breathe may physiologically sustain our life, but it is love that ultimately keep us truly living life. Tristan and Elizabeth’s story is a consummate reminder of it. I cannot recommend this book and this author enough. If you’ve not had the chance to read any of her works, it’s time you discovered them and experienced them.
