I’m a fixer. A lover. Always searching for the right fit.
And I come up empty every time.
My desires are unusual.
I don’t feel whole until I’m in the middle, holding it all together.
Which makes having a romantic relationship really difficult.
Two people. An unraveling marriage. Love on the rocks.
And they want me.
To put them back together again.
Problem is, once they’re fixed, where does that leave me?
I sure as hell hope I stick like glue.
***This story is MMF.***
This was a good book. I’m glad I read it. I have to be honest here. I don’t read a lot of MMF books anymore. I’ve moved on to straight MM books or MMM books. I wasn’t liking the balance between the couples in MMF books.
And once again I felt that in this book. The balance wasn’t 100% even in my book. Vale was the main focus of the relationship. It got to me at times. I wanted more times with just Vaughn and Aiden. I think I needed that.
Aiden unknowingly met two people that were a couple. They both were on the brink of splitting up. He didn’t know that in the beginning. He just thought both these people were unhappy. He flirted and pushed both of them. Making the couple really see that things between them are really so far gone with them!
Vaughn and Val tried. I think Vaughn tried more than Vale. He really wanted his marriage to work with Vale. Vale on the other hand blamed Vaughn for something that was out of his control. Which was so wrong of her to do. She was the one to put the cracks in the marriage. And it just steamed rolled from there.
“We’re breaking. Little by little at first, but now it’s happening all too quickly. Too many little holes in our boat. We’re sinking. It’ll be over in a flash. I’m devastated.” -Vaughn
Vale knew what she was doing. She was just so overtaken with her want and need to have a family. She couldn’t see past it all.
“We’re broken,” -Vale
“We’re not broken,”
“We’re just cracked. All we need is a little glue. We’ll be good as new.” – Vaughn
Aiden was a breath of fresh air for both Vaughn and Vale. In the beginning he was their escape from their problems of their marriage. He brought a whole new freshness that neither had, had in a long time. He was their bright light. They both couldn’t stay away from him.
Aiden was very vulnerable when he met both Vale and Vaughn. He was still trying to figure himself out. He knew he like both men and women. He just kept putting a lot of pressure on himself on what sex he liked more.
He was very attracted to Vaughn right from the beginning. He was alpha all the time and that really got Aiden going.
“Something tells me you can’t dip your toes in with a man like Vaughn Young. You’ll drown. He’s deep.” -Aiden
And Vale I felt was in need of some emotional support when Aiden walked into her life.
“I’m going to save the day,”
“If you’ll let me.”
“We’re not simply talking about a job here. We’re talking about everything.” -Aiden
Aiden was what they both needed. He brought two people that couldn’t see past it all back into the light. He brought them back to how they were in the beginning. And at the same time Vale and Vaughn gave Aiden what he needed. Both of them. He didn’t have to choose.
Overall this was a good read. We get to see how some of the other characters from past books are in this book. We see love and acceptance from everyone. I loved the ending. It was prefect!
