MISTER TONIGHT by Kendall Ryan – Review Blitz

From New York Times bestselling author Kendall Ryan comes a standalone romance about a swoony single dad and the new neighbor he falls for.

Last night was the most embarrassing night of my life.

I was THAT girl.

You know, the highly intoxicated chick celebrating her thirtieth with her two best friends—the ones who are happily married. And the more I drank, the more I wanted to do something reckless to celebrate.

By reckless, I meant the sexy and alluring man dressed in a business suit standing near the bar. You know his type—tall, dark, and handsome. I was sure he was out of my league, but I’d had just enough alcohol that things like that no longer seemed to matter. I’m not fat, mind you, but you can tell I like French fries, so there’s that.

He took me home and I enjoyed the hottest birthday sex of my life, well until it came to a screeching, and rather unwelcome halt.

There’s nothing quite like being interrupted mid-ride with a little voice asking:

“What are you doing to my daddy?”

Just kill me now…… or so I thought.

Come to find out the man I rode like a bull at the rodeo is my new landlord.

4.5 stars

I absolutely loved this book! I mean loved it from beginning to end! Hunter and Kate were so good together. They just got each other. They clicked right from the beginning. They both weren’t looking for anything serious…. but the hearts wants what the heart wants and even though in their minds they wanted to keep things casual. Their heart and bodies wanted something different.

Kate was out with her friends celebrating her last day of being in her twenties! Drinking and enjoying her time with her friends. While casually looking for someone to spend the night with. She locks eyes with Hunter and she knew right away he was the one!!!

“I think I found my Mister Tonight.”

Right from the beginning they had this out of this world chemistry. Everything seems to flow with them. Conversation, flirting. They felt really comfortable with each other.

I absolutely love how Kate was super assertive with what she wanted and how she wanted it. She wasn’t scared to voice her needs and wants. She was so upfront with everything. So there was never any games or miscommunication between them.

“Not date. Just birthday sex. I’m looking for a Mister Tonight, not a Mister Forever.”

Hunter really likes how Kate was upfront about things! He was really attracted to Kate!

“I want to know the noises you make in bed. And other really inappropriate things you’re not supposed to talk about the first time you meet someone.”

They both took things to the next level. Kate was all in and so was Hunter. That’s when Hunter dropped the bomb on Kate about having a child. Kate not seeing a problem with that went ahead and continued the night with Hunter.

NOW…. this is the part I was most looking forward to!!!

“What are you doing to my daddy?”

Ok… I was really looking forward to this part in the book. I couldn’t wait to read it. But once I read the moment leading up to it. I was kinda let down. I’m not saying it was bad!!! But just a little disappointed. I thought it was going to be a full on surprise. When Hunter told Kate about having a daughter. But to me… It took a little away from the whole “what are you doing to my daddy?”

It was still funny and shocking! I just wished she didn’t know ahead of time. Ok moving on. I loved how Hunter explained things to his daughter! His choice of words he knows would haunt him to the day he dies! lol

“Special adult snuggle time”

His daughter never forgot! lol
She always brought it up. But I loved his daughter. At times I felt she talked a little older than a four year old. But overall I thought she was cute!

I loved how Hunter and Kate didn’t play games about their situation they were in. They both respected each other. I love show Kate opened her heart to let Hunter and his daughter in and really changed her mind about relationships.

“I had no idea how good it could feel—like I’ve finally found my people, the tribe that I belong to.”

This was a great read! I’m so glad I read it! I’ve been looking forward to reading this book for so long! And it lived up to all my expectations!
