Alaska (Sawyer’s Ferry #1)
Not even one of their own.
Living up to expectations had never been easy, but when I went after something, I got it. Success. Money. Victory. I was standing on the doorstep to having it all. There was only one thing standing in my way.
Power and prosperity are overrated. Especially when they come at a price. When enough became enough, I walked away. Nothing had ever tempted me to look back, until one day the past showed up in my backyard.
I’m not so sure I can walk away a second time.
I just finished reading this book right now. And I have a big old smile on my face. I really enjoyed this book. I loved how Gage put up a fight with Holden. And I loved how Holden with his little charm tried his hardest to get Gage to hear him out.
Holden was given the task of trying to bring back Gage to his father’s company. A company he left years ago because he no longer saw eye to eye with Preston’s dad. If he couldn’t do it. Then he pretty much was written out of his dad’s life.
Holden tries his hardest but but knew when to give up. Holden got on Gage’s nerves. He saw Holden as part of his past. A part he wanted no part of anymore. But during a blizzard Holden and Gage let their guards down.
“I don’t have to guilt you into anything. You want this as bad as I do.”
What they both thought was going to a one time thing ended up being more.
“I shouldn’t still want him, but I did. I shouldn’t have pursued him, but I did.”
They were only together for a short amount of time. But it was intense and it was consuming.
“Somewhere along the way, we’d gone from two guys sharing a house to two guys in a relationship,”
This was such a good read! I love show everything unfolded and the pace of the book. I loved the epilogue! I can’t wait for the next book in this series! Hopefully it’s Frankie and Logan story??!!(hint,Hint)
