“This generation’s Cruel Intentions.” Jennifer L. Armentrout, #1 New York Times Bestselling Author
These Royals will ruin you…
From wharf fights and school brawls to crumbling lives inside glittery mansions, one guy tries to save himself.
Reed Royal has it all—looks, status, money. The girls at his elite prep school line up to date him, the guys want to be him, but Reed never gave a damn about anyone but his family until Ella Harper walked into his life.
What started off as burning resentment and the need to make his father’s new ward suffer turned into something else entirely—keep Ella close. Keep Ella safe. But when one foolish mistake drives her out of Reed’s arms and brings chaos to the Royal household, Reed’s entire world begins to fall apart around him.
Ella doesn’t want him anymore. She says they’ll only destroy each other.
She might be right.
Secrets. Betrayal. Enemies. It’s like nothing Reed has ever dealt with before, and if he’s going to win back his princess, he’ll need to prove himself Royally worthy.
I needed answers and I wanted to see what would unfold in the Royal household especially after the way Paper Princess ended. Where was Ella? The number one question which I’m sure was on everyone’s mind. In Broken Prince we finally get that answered but then a brand new slew of drama ensues in its pages. Erin Watt did not disappoint. This had daytime soap opera written all over it. Days of Our Lives, General Hospital had nothing on Broken Prince!
Reed Royal rocked my socks in this book. Bad boy turned good all because of his love for Ella. The means he undergoes to prove just how much she means to him all in a form of romantic gestures had me swooning. I loved him before Ella was able to accept it herself. So really, Reed Royal had my heart before he had Ella’s. Lol. And poor Ella… After everything she’d gone through in her young life, you’d think that having money and a new family would turn her life around for the better. Instead she’s now come head to head with the meanest of mean girls and “stepmothers” from hell all the while trying to figure out if her budding relationship with Reed Royal is worth it.
While Broken Prince had no shortage of drama, I felt that this second installment was a bit sluggish in pace and content. I wanted a gut punch (which does come at the very end) but instead the story dragged from page to page without much of a resolution. However, I can’t deny that the series is addicting as heck. The ending alone has me wanting to beg the author(s) for the next book.
If you’re looking to fill your life with some drama to shake you out of the daily, mundane realities, then Paper Princess and Broken Prince are exactly what you need!
