Fans of Jodi Ellen Malpas, K. Bromberg, and Joanna Wylde will be unable to resist this sexy, deeply intimate tale of a woman running from her past, and the darkly mysterious man who sets her free.
I didn’t think answering someone else’s cellphone would change my life. But the stranger with the low, deep voice on the other end of the line tempted me, awakened my body, set me on fire. He was looking for someone else. Instead he found me.
And I found a hot, secret world where I felt alive for the first time.
His name was Dylan, and, strangely, he made me feel safe. Desired. Compelled. Every dark thing he asked me to do, I did. Without question. I longed to meet him, but we were both keep-ing secrets. And mine were dangerous. If I took the first step, if I got closer to Dylan—emotionally, physically—then I wouldn’t be hiding anymore. I would be exposed, with nothing left to surrender but the truth. And my truth could hurt us both.
This is the first book by Molly O’Keefe that I have read. It was a nice surprise. I was pretty much hooked from the very first page.
This story just draws you in.
Annie and Dylan have a lot of secrets. Both needed each other to forget their past. But soon they both became addicted to each other. Bringing each other out of their comfort zones.
I absolutely love the innocence of her character. It made her more believable to me. Everything she was doing on the phone with Dylan was a little forbidden and so new to her.
I loved it.
The one thing I hated about her character though….
Was how she had a hard time accepting help or handouts. She thought a lot about what her mother would think about certain situations she was in.
I felt like she should have just went with it.
Especially accepting help from Dylan.
well… We know some things about him… But not a lot.
He really did keep Annie at a arms length. He liked things his way. And Annie had to play by his rules.
I hated how everything was one sided for more than 50% of the book. Annie always told Dylan little things about herself. But Dylan never did. He would not budge.
I wanted Annie to open her mouth and say something about it.
We get his secret at the end of this book.
But still… We really don’t know him.
The phone sex and sex in this book was super HOT!
I mean… Hello!…lol
Annie’s innocence and Dylan’s commanding voice.
It was really doing it for me!
It all just felt so natural. I loved how Annie let her self go to experience her sexuality.
Even thought this story ends in a cliffhanger (which I hate!…. I feel like that should be said in the synopsis.)
I was still ok with it. It’s nothing major where it haves you wanting to throw your kindle at the wall.
But…. It does leaving you wanting the second book!
This was a good read. The writing was good. Everything flowed naturally. It had just enough of everything. And the sex scenes were spot on! I can’t wait to read book 2 to find out what happens!
