The Consequence of Loving Colton

Synopsis:

My name is Milo Caro and I have a confession to make.

I’ve been in love with Colton Mathews since I was five. He should have known that sharing a cookie with a sugar obsessed little monster would do the trick–it sealed his fate. So really, the fact that he’s sporting a black eye, a limp, almost got ran over by a car, and was nearly responsible for another person’s death? Right. HIs fault. Not mine.

I made a pact with myself–this weekend would be different. I’d come home for my brothers wedding, smile, and Colton would naturally melt into my arms, we’d get married have five kids, live in a house by the river, and get a dog named scratch (clearly I’ve thought this through).

What really happened? I punched my brother in the face, Colton kissed me and apologized, I lied about having a boyfriend, oh and everyone wants to meet the mystery man.

They say laughter always comes before insanity–ha, ha. All I wanted was my brother’s best friend…instead I’m sitting in prison.

Let this be a lesson to you all…life rarely happens the way you want it to.

Damn cookie.

This book was not what I was expecting! And I mean that in a good way!! This book had me laughing. Everything that happens in this book was just truly funny! All these characters have a certain uniqueness to them and brought a certain level of quirkiness to this book! And I just loved it!
This is the first book that I read by this author. I have other books by her. I just haven’t gotten around to reading them yet.
Now, having read this book. I’m pushing all her books up on my TBR list!

When I started reading this book I was expecting something kind of serious…. judging by the cover.
But… What I got was so much better… I think!
This book had be laughing so hard! All the situations that Jason, Milo and Colton are in are just too crazy! Then add Max the best friend the crazy bride to be Jayne. The horny grandmother and Max’s actor brother Reid to the mix and you have one crazy weekend!!..

There was just so much going on in this book. I don’t even know where to start.
All I can really say is this book is sooo worth the read. You will not be disappointed.

Milo and Colton had so many misunderstandings and so many up’s and down’s! I felt bad for Milo. She really took Colton’s rejection hard. But, when they finally were in the same page… I could feel the sparks coming from them.

Jason….(Milo’s brother)
I felt bad for the guy! He was so beat up by the end of the book!

Theres a lot of internal dialogue going on in most of the characters head in this book. Usually that’s the kiss of death for me in books.
But…. I found it worked in this book. Towards the end of the book it was starting to get to be a little to much for me.

And… I loved Max… I really did. But, he seemed to pop up in that inopportune times!…
I wanted to strangle him. And, all of his interruptions were starting to get to me.

The ending of this book was pretty funny and I really can’t wait to read the next book in this series!!
