Silver Bastard (Silver Valley #1)
by Joanna WyldeStars: 3
First in the new Silver Valley series from the New York Times bestselling author of the Reapers Motorcycle Club Novels
Fourteen months. For fourteen months, Puck Redhouse sat in a cell and kept his mouth shut, protecting the Silver Bastards MC from their enemies. Then he was free and it was time for his reward—full membership in the club, along with a party to celebrate. That’s when he saw Becca Jones for the first time and set everything in motion. Before the night ended he’d violated his parole and stolen her away from everything she knew.
Five years. It was five years ago that Puck destroyed Becca and saved her all in one night. She’s been terrified of him ever since, but she’s even more terrified of the monsters he still protects her from… But Becca refuses to let fear control her. She’s living her life and moving forward, until she gets a phone call from the past she can’t ignore. She has to go back, and there’s only one man she can trust to go with her—the ex-con biker who rescued her once before.
Puck will help her again, but this time it’ll be on his terms. No more lies, no more tears, and no more holding back what he really wants…
This edition only: A new Silver Valley story
Was a little lost and confused with who was who in this book.
And to be quite honest… I still didn’t remember some of the guys!I think in this new series.. There should have been more of a back story with this new club. I honestly don’t even remember them being mentioned in the other Reapers MC series.I’m was 50/50 with this book.
Becca for me was so up and down and a little to wishy washy.
But, for me…
I had a really hard time with connecting with her character.
She constantly was fighting with her feelings for Puck.
And that was getting kind of old for me and her being scared too. The internal dialogue that went on with her in her head was a lot too!
She was constantly having these battles with herself in her head. I Hated that.
Was fighting his feeling so much. And was so angry with Becca. It was just all so weird. He wanted to be her man…
But, felt guilty about it….
Then he was so pissed off at her… Omgosh…
I wanted to scream at both of them… Get over it already!!!
They acted like that with each other almost until the end of the book.
But… At the same time too…
I couldn’t put the book down. I still had to know what was going to happen next!
I think because of all the past members that were in this book. That’s what really kept my attention.
I’m glad the story ended the way it did. I just wish Becca and Puck would have just got their stuff together way sooner than they did.
Overall this was an ok book.
I really can’t wait to read Painters story.
