Seth is a part of The Barringer Brothers series, but can be read as a standalone.

After too many deep dives as an underwater welder, Seth Barringer needs to stay on land for awhile. He and a friend rent a California beach house. Seth plans to spend the summer months pursuing his favorite hobby— women. But when he meets Noelle Coltrane, his plans are obliterated. Seth Barringer has finally met his forever girl . . . but can he break through the steel barrier Noelle has constructed around her heart?

Noelle Coltrane lost her husband, high school sweetheart and soul mate, Hayden Coltrane, two years ago when his helicopter was shot down in Afghanistan. There has never been anyone else but Hayden. Now Seth Barringer has walked into her life wreaking havoc on her emotions and stirring up feelings she thought long gone. She finds herself struggling between her sense of loyalty to the man she once loved and her attraction Seth.

I’m extremely happy with this book. I absolutely just loved it. It had the right amount of everything in it for me. Seth story was pretty laid back just like him. There wasn’t any over the top unbelievable story line. And, I loved that.
There was a little bump in the road for me in his book. Just one thing. But overall the book was so good that I overlooked it.
The synopsis pretty much says what the book is about so I’m just going to go right into my review.
I felt for Noelle. My heart just broke for her. She lost her husband at such a young age. She was such a strong person. But… I felt she was going through the motions. She never wanted or thought she could move on with her life until Seth came into town. He really opened her eyes. He was really patient with her. And the fact that he we’re such a good listener. And didn’t push her… She fell for him.
Now…if there was one thing I could change about this book it would be Seth sneaking out early in the morning. And, running into Noelle.
Ughhh…. One of my pet peeves in books is when the main characters in a book goes with another person or a friend of the Main characters.
It just puts me off to the guy main character. It’s hard for me to move past that. Because the girl main character has to look past the guy being with another person.
But… Even though my heart sank a little… I continue to read with an open mind.
And…I’m glad I did!
Because, Seth really did win me over. I just loved the guy! He fought for what he wanted. And came out on top! He was really different from his brothers. Gage was more intense… Luke was not as intense but… Still had an edge to him. Seth was super laid back. He never let the small stuff get to him.
I loved when Noelle finally let her guard down and enjoyed her time with Seth. They just seemed to fit together.
Overall… I truly loved this book. The ending was A little abrupt. I had to do a double take on it…lol I wanted MORE!!..
But…I’m a big fan of Tess’s work. And I can’t wait to read Jericho’s book! I know I will be in for a wild ride!!!
